Poll: Human superiority ideology vs Aliens

As the most technology advance species on the planet and one of the most influential(there are others that are just as influential) we as human beings enjoy a near dominance on top of the food chain that no other animal can boast. Not only does this position grant us an extremely safe lifestyle(not being hunted or eaten regularly) but has also caused us to develop an oversized ego known as "Human Superiority" in which we think that since we're so great that we control every animal, plant, mineral and piece of land on the planet... But what if in an "hypothetical" situation that aliens were to come to earth that shared the same belief as we did. Does that mean they have the right to do what ever they want to Earth and us since they have far more advance technology and influence entire galaxies? Vote on your basic idea then elaborate a little on what you think of such an situation.

Technology is not everything, that is why The United States lost the Vietnam war. If the aliens have never been hear before then we could probably hold them off until we can reverse engineer their technology or devise an other suitable defense. If the aliens need an external life support system to survive in earth's atmosphere we could delay and disrupt their operations with guerrilla tactics until they succumb to demoralization and loss of resources. Surviving for 18 years was too much work for me to abandon my dominant species status. Why would aliens want the earth? If I could travel to another habitable planet I would vanish faster than the NeoGeo.

Of course they might not know about nukes and stuff yet, and one thing nukes do is stop all electronic devices, so that would be devastating considering they would probably rely on some sort of life support system to be here.

Profound insight. I was referring to the small band of stalwart survivors holed up in some mountain cave, of course.

They certainly will have some sense of some perspective.

This was the basic idea behind the original War of the Worlds; one of the first alien invasion stories ever told. H G Wells basically imagined what it would be like if the British got a taste of their own medicine (i.e. facing a technologically superior force in their own territories and they had done to their Asian/African colonies). Maybe the super aliens wouldn't have the rights to Earth, but that sure as hell wouldn't stop them.
