I think it is. If you think that Christmas shouldn't be celebrated, you shouldn't celebrate it. If you think gifts shouldn't be given on Christmas, you should neither give nor accept them.
If you only stand by your ideals when they're convenient or when they seem "big enough", then they aren't ideals.

This is like someone who boycotts Coca-Cola and then goes ahead and drinks it when he's given one, because he himself didn't pay for it. Like Vegans who eat meat, just because they weren't the ones paying for it. It's hypocritical to accept gifts (or give them) when you think it shouldn't be done. I mean, what's the point of being Anti-Christmas when you then go ahead and CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS? Even if it makes her happy, it would be a breach of your ideals.

On the other hand, from your original post, I can't really figure out (and I think you don't want to talk about it in detail) if you are anti-christmas-gift or anti-celebrating-christmas, so all of this might be moot - if you are just against the practice of having decoration and singing songs on christmas, you can totally give gifts and receive them just like on any other day.

If its an anti-consumer stance then you should be making the present, then it wouldn't be hypocritical. It all depends on why you are anti-Christmas, the rampant consumerism or the perversion of an ancient holiday.

No, you're not hypocritical. You just decided that you care more about your girlfriend than your views on this particular holiday. I think that's healthy behaviour. And could you explain why you are anti christmas? Just curious, obviously.

I'm not religious myself, but then, to me christmas is not about anythingto do with christianity, but about pretty lights, and kindness in the darkest time of the year. Now I think about it, it's almost like the old pagan version, without the fear the sun wont return.
