so anyway my ds broke a while back and my sister said I could have hers for £5 and it was in perfect condition pretty much so I took the over but since then people always ask why do I have a pink ds, I tell them the story but they still find it weird. what do you guys think and have you guys any similar experiences

I own a Pink DS also. People will either say "nice DS" or ask why I have one. I got it for Christmas. The tag said from Satan.

I had a pink DS once, and I'm the manly man you'll ever meet. Seriously, my facial hair has cause multiple natural disasters in the states of Ohio, Indiana, California, Idaho, and one unconfirmed hurricane in the gulf coast. There's nothing wrong with the color of your handheld. In fact, it's a double-standard. What if you saw a woman using a blue DS? Does that make her a lesbian? No, but a man using a pink DS is wrong. It's these kind of social sterotypes that human society as a whole needs to advance beyond.

And dropping all the "true man" bullshit, there isn't really a reason for "pink" to be considered a "female" color other than the fact that its been considered a female color in society for a long time (without a really good reason other than it's been considered a female color in society for a long time..., you can see where I'm getting at). Don't be ashamed of your pink DS. When people mock you just tell them how much money you saved and then go back to playing your games.

Personally I always thought that pink was traditionally a girly colour because many flowers are pink. But then, many flowers are also red so that kinda ruins that idea.

and you can get any colour under the sun case. I have that with my DSi well it was more for protecting it when it was in my purse but still i like green more than blue.
