Pink is a color, it's a not a gender, and the people who make an issue of a man who uses anything pink have issues they need to address. Pink isn't reserved to women. It isn't an issue, nothing weird by it. Only thing weird is making an issue of it. Which you sort of did, OP, by creating this thread.

It takes a man very secure in their sexuality to wear or have anything pink. It really is just a color.

one of my friends actually told me to turn it into a thread because he would like to see peoples view of it but I don't really care what colour it is but I would like a purple(fav colour) DS. No matter what people will say in this thread will make me throw away my DS or get a new one when I don't need to.

My task bar and window frames in Windows 7 were bright magenta. At a LAN party, some "friends" of mine started ragging on me for having a "pink task bar." They wouldn't shut up about it, and would actually come over to my monitor and point at it (blocking my vision) and ask why it was still pink.

After 20 minutes of this, I changed it to grey so I could play a game without interruption; they said, "much better." Stupid narrow-minded "friends" :)

It's still grey now, because I just don't change the color of my task bar once I get used to the color. It had been magenta since I got Windows 7; I just pick a color I like and stick with it. I'm used to grey now, so it'll probably stay grey until another friend asks if it means I'm "emo" or something. Fun times.

OT: I don't care that you have a pink DS, I'm a bit shy about playing my black PSP in public, so I probably couldn't do it. I have an inferiority complex and care way too much about what people think or something. I salute you sir, and a great deal is much more important than the color.

Pink is the epitomy of evil. That is all.

(Yes, I realize that is going to sound weird coming from a girl.)

I think it's adorable.
Also, hey, you got a deal. Who can pass up a cheap gaming system in good condition?

I have a pink GameBoy Advance. So what? Nothing's wrong about pink.
I like pink, I really do.

Not a DS, but does a Pink PSP count? (No pun intended)

Also, I have pink shoelaces on my jet-black underground 14'boots, just for the comment.

Makes perfect sense. have to say, you're more of a man than me. I wouldn't have the guts to play it in front of people.
I wouldn't have the guts to get caught playing a DS in public no matter the color. Just not a DS person. If you are cool with it, so be it.

I own a pink Barbie PS1 memory card and am not ashamed of it. Does that count as a 'similar experience'?

It's free, therefore no one should insult you for it. Even if you purposefully bought a pink one I wouldn't care. Apparently we live in a free society (within reason) so a man should have his right to buy whatever he wants.

So where is the poll and what is the question?
yea it isn't working for some reason and the question if I remember correctly is 'is it weird?' ranging from ' no why would it be' to 'yes you shouldn't count as a man'

Where do you live that people actually care enough to mention it to you?

This seems like an inordinately silly thing for a person to bring up with you, much less make an issue of.

Then again, I'm not sure how old you are, so there's a definite possibility that you're falling prey to the general trend of younger people to take "pink is for girls" as some sort of holy commandment.

Its the generally accepted norm that guys aren't associated with colors that seem "girly" such as pink

Truth is, Tough guys wear pink >.>
