I've played video games since as long as I can remember but I recently joined the after-school play community. Often I don't get home until about 9 PM and then it's homework. I've not touched my Xbox in a month... I miss it. It's calling me.

Do video games get in the way of life? Or does life get in the way of video games?

Video games and life should just find their own seperate corners to play in. They don't get along very well.

You just have to learn to prioritize. What's more important? Finishing the next level, or getting your shit done? Work with your schedule, not against it. Write it out. It'll help. A lot.

Dude life in the way of video games. I too am doing what we call Drama club and it's my first year doing it. I auditioned and got a speaking part so everyday after school i stay and rehearse but school has yet to get in the way of Games. But i know it's going to come and when it does something is gonna suffer and it isn't gonna be my video games

I think there should be a both option. It depends on whats going on in your life and what you want to do.

I work 50 hours a week and currently taking 9 credit hours at school. Combine that with the wife needing me for things and 3 dogs that need taking care of - I still make time.
You could die tomorrow. Do you want your last day on earth to be having fun or working your ass off for someone else? Live looking towards tomorrow but don't live for tomorrow.

Life in the way of Videogames, I've been neglecting Halo: Reach because I've been studying my ass off for two exams I have this week, but I will return when things die down...

It's okay to prioritize your life before your games, your games are not going anywhere...

My life is pretty unforgiving these days. Gotta tie my belt tighter.

Also, 400 posts, I can go to bed now.

For me, its both. Over this last weekend, i've been playing fallout 3 and transformers wfc instead of doing assignment work. But I quit WoW a few months ago because I just didn't have enough time for it among my other 'RL' activities.

Honestly, video games get in the way of life. I wish I could say otherwise, though, being a hardcore gamer and all.

Neither are in the way of neither for me. Video Games spice up life a bit and a life of just playing video games would get boring very quickly for me. I's a symbiotic relationship.
