Going to bed, I'm not too fond of. At least until I'm relaxed, wrapped up in blankets with soothing music playing in the background. I love sleeping though. Especially when I have the option to sleep as long as I want. Especially when insomnia doesn't interfere.

I hate it because I constantly feel like I need it. It's like a natural drug addiction, except relapse is inevitable.
Yah agreed. I hate it so much due to my personal and professional schedule. And when I wake up it's never good, I'm always dreary and sluggish and I never seem to come out of it.

Sleeping = Fail

I'm a teenager, and thus I live to sleep. Seriously, I love it.

However, I would eliminate it if possible, to increase time spent consciously living.

It's OK, I have a hard time getting to sleep, but that means I that when I'm just lying there in bed trying to get some sleep, I have an opportunity to reflect on things.

I love sleeping. The best feeling is when you wake up, realise that it's a weekend and that you can go back to sleep again. Such a great feeling. I sleep for 12 hour periods so bed at 24.00 and up at 12.00 and becuase of all the sleep I feel so good when I wake up.
no no no the best is when u wake up like 3hrs early, its such a good feeling to get to know that you don't have to get up

Sometimes I think it is a bit odd that we voluntarily lose consciousness for eight hours every day.

If I'm actually tired then I like to sleep. But I always end up staying up too late anyhow. It's getting up in the morning that is the problem.

I detest sleeping. It's a massive waste of time. I forget where I read this (it was a trustworthy place, though), but if you live for about 80-85 years, you'll have slept about 30 of them. That's a lot. Even if I shave 5 years of my life by not sleeping as much as I should, I'm wasting about 8 years less, for a net gain of 3 years of time to my life.

I only sleep because eventually my body just crashes. I hate it otherwise since it takes time away from stuff I could be doing

I never want to go to bed, but once I get there I enjoy it so much that I never want to get out. I often will lay on my bed randomly musing about the universe because I don't want to get up.

I did a speech on this subject for a college speech class.

We were assigned to create a sales pitch for an imaginary product and try and sell it to the class. Mine was voted most wanted to be real.

I can't quite remember the actual name of the product that I made up so for this thread I will rename it the "Good Night's Sleep Patch."

My product used a new revolutionary nonaddictive drug that would fool the brain into thinking that it has slept more than it has. The patch would revitalize the brain and body of the user.

The idea of the product is that when the user wears the patch and sleeps a certain number of hours, let's say 4 hours, then the drug in the patch makes the brain and body feel like it has actually slept for 8 hours. So it would be a sleep doubling patch. An hour restful nap can become a two hour nap. Whatever time you sleep, it gets doubled.

Of course there is no real way around having to sleep so that is why I didn't create a stop for the activity.

The patch would give people a good deal of extra time to do what they want. It would also be great for hospital staff that only get short nap breaks in the hospital break-rooms.

I hate trying to get to sleep but I love being able to sleep in and not get out of bed of another few hours.

god... sleep, it's so good to sleep... then I wake up, and waves of anxiety, fear, and soul crushing depression wash over me... then I hate my life again. That is seriously the single worst feeling I've ever had in my life... I've had surgery, waited around for half an hour after breaking my arm in three places, and waking up and feeling reality wash over me is the single worst feeling I have ever had in my life... and it happens every day! :D
