Hmmm, what's happened in the last two years ...

Well, not much has changed.

My Little Pony became good all of a sudden.
Oh yeah, and Escapist content has changed a bit, with some stuff ending/leaving.

Yeah, the thing that killed The Escapist there for a while was the treatment of the Extra Credits team. They were the best show on this site, and The Escapist really lost a valuable asset when the jumped shipt to PATV. I also miss the actual monthly magazine type thing that The Escapist used to publish. I miss all the opinion and analysis type articles that used to be here.

to be fair it was not totally a black and white situation......as to who deserved the extra money, the site or EC?..considering EC were going to run off with it and make a game (where as it was originall donatitions for their artists major surgery) but it was the site that allowed them to get that much money in the first place

Yeah, people stopped caring about that debacle since then. Now Jimquisition and Zero Punctuation are all the rage. Jimquisition was at first universally hated, but has since then won the hearts of the Escapists.

You'll notice that some of the more prominent users from 2010 have received the crushing blow of the Banhammer to be replaced by new, less cynical members.

I don't know how popular Daystar Clarion was when you were active, but he's the only member that everybody knows now. I'm not entirely sure why.

Gifs of Nathan Fillion pop up occasionally, usually signalling a derailed thread.

Feminism threads are the latest in flame bait. For the love of all that is considered holy, never mention Anita Sarkeesian.

You missed a huge series of debates that came after ME3 came out (lucky you).

Call of Duty attracts universal scorn from all forum types.

yeah it was a pretty hot topic...a few long running threads, also debate over "getting the full story" since its very easy to side with EC without knowing the facts (because who says that had a right to the left over money?) anyway I'm sure a few people left over it but whatever...I used to like them but their pretentsioness got a little grating

anyway the Jimquisition has filled that void.....some people didn't like his persona first time around (in fact his videos were really disliked) but now he's the best show IMO, worth checking out
