I'm sure the forums were a horrible morass of rage and butthurt when that happened. I was really posting much by then, so I didn't catch the worst of the communities reaction. Was it bad?

anyway the Jimquisition has filled that void.....some people didn't like his persona first time around (in fact his videos were really disliked) but now he's the best show IMO, worth checking out

I don't know how popular Daystar Clarion was when you were active, but she's the only member that everybody knows now. I'm not entirely sure why.

Yeah, the thing that killed The Escapist there for a while was the treatment of the Extra Credits team. They were the best show on this site, and The Escapist really lost a valuable asset when the jumped shipt to PATV.

I thought Yahtzee was pretty lulsy just like everyone else when I first saw him, but it got old quick. Yahtzee is a great comedian, but a terrible reviewer. Lots of exaggerations, half truths, and general failings on his part. (several of his reviews give me the impression he's just not very good at games) But it's mostly a comedy series I guess.

I usually take his reviews with a more positive grain of salt, but when he gets to review a legitimately bad game, he produces some of the funniest videos the escapist has to offer.

methinks people should take into consideration what "***** and moan" actually mean, and just because he voices his opinion that does not speak for "us" (and he made it pretty clear he didnt directly suport her) if people are too stupid to figure that one out then scew'em

Its his style...he focuses on the negatives first and foremost...somtimes you can tell when he's "meh" about a game and when he really hates it....his written articles are a little more balanced (he still seems pretty negative though)
