Hi all

I've been playing WoW up until now, but i got bored (yes,we are all amazed)
So if any of you could recommend any good MMOs, i will be grateful
please no browser games like adventure quest or whatever, I need something more "pro"
and no monthly/weekly/yearly fees are a priority

EDIT: it's not a poll, sorry my web browser has it's quirks and glitches

Well, a MMO i really loved is DDO:EU (that's Dungeons & Dragons Online: Ebberon Unleashed. I think. And wait, why did i tell the short version if i was gonna say the long one, too?!)
It's free (yay!) and pretty decent. You should like it even more if you play D&D and know the rules, i think that was the major charm the game had for me.
Anyways, yeah. Pretty good game, in my opinion.

That's what I'd suggest, and I'm doing that now. Once that comes out, goodbye WoW.

But anyway, perhaps DDO or Guild wars 1.
I think you can play both of those for free.

Only thing that would fit that description is waiting for GW2 really. Any decent actual MMO out there currently has either subscription model or Freemium (like DDO/LOTRO/CO).

Majority of F2P have very low production value, boring mechanics, boring levelling and in the end you will loose to people taking advantage of cash shop.

Best idea is to actually take a break from MMOs for now, till they come up with something new, and if you don't plan on paying subscription you really might be better looking for some other genre.

Guild Wars is great, no subscription fees but has a purchase needed. It's...a little clunky at times, but it's well designed and handles great when the minor control quirks are worked out. Also, it has decent storytelling for a change...overall it's an impressive (although subtle) MMORPG.

Or of course, Dungeons and Dragons Online and Lord of the Rings Online are free to play but high-quality MMOs, if you enjoy the universes. I prefer DNDO personally with it's real-time combat style, but it's got a strong traditional-RPG style to it's mechanics that's quite a jump from WoW.

A friend of mine would reccomend Forsaken World. It's high quality for a free game, and has vampires in a fantasy setting which is nice. Not a big jump from WoW in gameplay.

Or, for something completely different, go Champions Online for some super-hero themed action. Best played with friends, extremely high level of customization and great combat (even if it gets repetitive after a while).

Try AirRivals. (Online flying and shooting things with missiles.)

Or Sword of the New World.

Both are free to play.

I play RuneScape, it's quite good fun.
Still the most varied that I've played. It was nice to play a game that wasn't just focused on combat. Of course, I haven't played it for like a decade now.

Rift is good, it costs, but only about a third of what WoW does. Fairly similar to WoW, but the class and levelling systems let you do much more.

Runes of Magic is a free to play game, the sort you can quite happily play along without paying unless you want to. Plus they're always giving away free stuff.

Shin Megami Tensei Imagine.

When ever someone tries to claim that WoW or similar was hard with raids and stuff, I point them at this one. Its free to play, special events are frequently run, and the user base is far friendlier then that of most other MMO's, generally because everyone is struggling together.

Oh I forgot that. It might take you so long to get though all of DDO free content that GW2 is out.

Only play members' RuneScape though, otherwise there isn't too much to do.

Btw, is it weird that I actually liked farming in that game?

You could try out the Lord of the Rings Online if you liked WOW. Its free to play now which means you don't have to invest in anything before you try it out. Age of Conan will also move free to play soon so you can try that out too. I'm personally looking forward to the new Star Wars MMO.

Try out some of the F2P MMOs. You might enjoy one of them.

While waiting for Gw2 try the first one.
And i think some people call it as a CoARPG.- Co-action rpg. And thats pretty much what it is, its got big amounts of content to chew on too.

Been playing DDO on and off since it went f2p, and I find it quite appealing since nearly all quests can be done solo and with selectable difficulty you can increase the challenge of the instances as you get better at it.

Also, the character building is complex enough that even after a year of playing I still get the odd 'aha!' when skimming the forums.

Quite a few bugs and downright wrong tooltips though, but nothing insurmountable.
