Poll: I Wanna Be the Guy - Dracula

So time for a mini-rant

I Wanna Be the Guy, i really don't see why people think it's so hard. o.o Granted i'm playing on normal mode, but still, it's going by rather quickly for me. Anyone care to tell why it's so difficult?

This leads onto the next part, the Dracula fight. he is EVIL. I've been stuck all day, and not because he's hard, but because he has the tendency to corner you EACH AND EVERY TIME you avoid his little homing apple. This is especially true when you cut him down far enough for him to summon his little metroid thingies, but really, it's alot cheaper than it is hard. o.o

So i'm very curious at this point, just how much HP does Dracula have? I've gotten him for atleast 20 shots, but he still won't die. Google has failed me, so would anyone care to enlighten me? as well as maybe share some stories?

What was so hard about Tyson? The only real difficult part was timing the jump over his last punch before he clips you and leaves you a splatter on the nearest wall. o.o

Side note, i've only gotten past Tyson and Birdo, so yeah =3

How bad is it? How far could you get in the fight without dieing?

That's exactly why the game is considered difficult. It's not fair, it just pulls cheap tricks in order to get you killed. And the further you get into the game, the more of these it starts to create.

Of course I only know that from watching other people play. I could never beat Dracula.

Honestly I could only get to the third ghouls and ghost screen. I really would help you, but I can't.

Go to youtube and look up any playthrough of the game. You will see just how much HP he has that way.

I think about 10 seconds or so. Then I make a dumb mistake and die

I'm sure you don't need it, but if it helps, it helps

If i recall, he takes 3-4 seconds between each punch. Keeping this in mind helps when timing your jumps

It shouldn't be too hard to figure out that you need to hug the sides either, as it's the only way to hurt him when he enters his weak phase, that being, when he's about to sneeze.

Towards the 3rd phase, when it's near impossible to dodge the punch as your scrambling to the other side, i believe what i did was dodge 2 punches while staying on the side, and run like hell towards the other side with that second jump. Then just hope you can avoid the 3rd punch and get a shot at his weak phase.

Also, upon dodging the 3rd punch, he would go on kind of a rampage, so you may have to dodge a 4th punch, but keep hugging either side and just do your best to wait it out =3 hope it helps.
