The handheld Pokemon games that are being released are great, but I miss the old Pokemon Stadium games. They were the first Pokemon games I've ever played and the 2 of my first 3 Nintendo 64 games. I'm only 16 and I have grown up but I kind of grew up with Pokemon and with those 2 Pokemon Stadium games being my favorites. Pokemon Colosseum and whatever else came out as it's sequel were a big letdown considering you could only catch the "Dark" Pokemon. The battles themselves were spectacular and I enjoyed them very much. I just wish it could have been more focused on that. Now there's Pokemon pinball and Pokemon Rumble Blast and they're just really drifting away from with made the "3-d" Pokemon games fun to play. All I'm trying to say is that I feel like they should make a Pokemon Stadium 3 with more features or a game where you can actually explore the region (Kind of like one of the handheld games, but in 3-d instead).

I loved Pokemon: Stadium growing up.

I still have my gold cartridge of Pokemon Stadium 2.

Now the Gamecube games are where the series really got good. I still use my Jolteon from XD: Gale of Darkness in the newer DS games. Too bad Nintendo didn't continue the trend and went with a re-boot of the old N64 version.

Hopefully we will see a new 3-D Pokemon adventure with regional exploration in the Wii U era.

Why is there one coming out? If so I know you're working on it! Clever move checking to see if the costumers want a revival, now GET YOUR ASS BACK TO WORK! It's not going to program itself. Don't make get my slave whip.

Hey, you didn't mention Battle Revolution! I think that was a step in the right direction except that the character customization wasn't all that great. At any rate, the graphics were top-notch (for a Wii game) and the battles were pretty intense and immersive--if too difficult at times. Perhaps they could work what they did with Battle Revolution into Pokemon Stadium 3.

I definitely agree, Pokemon 2D should become Pokemon 3D sometime in the coming generations. Rumble Blast and all those other Pokemon games that make even Giratina look cute need to go away very, very soon.

I agree Pokemon stadium three would be much fun. Like MUCH fun...

Would it include all 5 regions? That'd be really impressive...

However, I enjoy that the Pokemon games use sprites. I've always found those sprites rather charming.

I'd love to see more detailed and fluid sprites, like you see in more modern games, like BlazBlue.

I think they had a good idea going with Battle Revolution, and if they make a new game with all 5 generations, Gym Leader castles for all of them, new mini-games, and the ability to transfer Pokemon over from any of the main series DS Pokemon games, it could be the long-awaited Pokemon Stadium 3. And it would be awesome.

I think they had a good idea going with Battle Revolution, but if they make a sequel to that with all 5 generations, Gym Leader castles, new mini-games, and most importantly, the ability to import Pokemon from any main series DS Pokemon game, we might finally have the long awaited, Pokemon Stadium 3, and it would be awesome.

I agree that 2d animation like that is awesome, but Pokemon would be a bad game to do that in.

Think about it: Every Pokemon would need full animations for every attack. That's, what, 10+ frames of fully drawn, colored, and shaded animation each for every attack for every one of the almost 500 Pokemon we have now.

That would be a monolithic task to accomplish.

edit: forgot to add, front AND back views, male AND female... @_@ all the above x4.

Personally I want to see a 3D fighting game that plays out similar to the anime. You know how some attacks can be used in different ways such as Ash's bulbasaur's vine whip jump. Eah of the four attacks are mapped to one of the four main buttons and maybe holding down other buttons activated the special uses. I know that's a huge task but by god that would be awesome.

I can settle for a new stadium game. Those were always fun.

Oh well. I haven't cared for the main Pokemon games since I was a kid, personally. Last oen I enjoyed was Gale of Darkness. The gameplay of the core games has gotten way to stale. IMO, they need to scale back on making new pokemon, and improve the gameplay. Although I love that Black and White had the pokemon moving at all times. I wouldn't mind an ARPG Pokemon games. Having the pokemon running around like in the shows. Squad-based combat.... That could be a great game, and one that would be amazing on the consoles, rather than the DS.

I remember having the first one, I think I remember using it to use my Pokemon from Blue to win every tournament with my brother and sister(my brother had Red and my sis had Yellow).

I didn't get any Pokemon console games except Snap after Stadium. I only had Blue and Gold when I was young, and recently bought Heart Gold for the nostalgia. Still an awesome game!

I'm still waiting for my real-time action game where I play AS a Pokemon. Mystery Dungeon was okay, but roguelikes are only so good. X Y L R buttons= 4 attacks. Give each one its own ins and outs to use, and have them sap your slowly-recovering stamina bar. Maybe basic attack and jump on A and B. Dodge would be similar to Metroid OM, where you tap a direction just before an attack hits you to dodge in that direction. Dodging would also take some stamina. Basic attacks would probably not drain stamina, but it wouldn't recover while attacking.

A game like that could easily do a lot of cool things on either 3DS or Wii/U. Survival sections where you play as a small Pokemon trying to escape powerful attacking predators? Racing down a mountainside as a Golem against other rock Pokemon? 3 on 3 battles in wide-open arenas? Terrifying boss battles against gargantuan Pokemon? (such as Wailord or legendaries) Puzzle solving using your special attacks to clear obstacles?

Hell, maybe they could make it rated M and have it take place during the war they speak of in the first games? GRITTY POKEMON REBOOT! Bloody battles to the death!

Pokemon Stadium is a staple of my childhood. Every time my sisters and I get together we play the mini games. I was sad when they didn't make it for the Gamecube, and that Colosseum didn't have nearly as many features (though it was an awesome game in its own respect.)

I need to plug in my N64 now.

This. I don't get why people always ask for CG models when we could be asking for that!

Also, original poster, isn't Pinball old, like Game Boy Color old? Why would you mention it and Rumble Blast (Which came out last month) as if they both came out recently when only one did?

I wouldn't mind a new Stadium game, but I heard Battle Revolution really sucked. I'd rather have a new Coliseum, Snap, or TCG game.
