Poll: Idea for a superhero.

I was thinking in art class today, and I came up with what I think is a good idea.
It's a cancer patient, who has a tumor in his brain. He is contacted by a scientist offering him free experimental treatment. Now, this happens to turn his tumor into a working second brain, which gives him psychic powers.

So... Is this idea fucked up?

OT: Yes, that's all well and good but what superpowers would this second brain give him?

It seems weird that it would become a second brain. Perhaps the scientist can remove part of the brain that inhibits psychic abilities?

It sounds ok but how will it end? Will it all be a dream of a dying person suffering from brain cancer? Is it just a hallucination which ends up killing them? Or is it in a world where psychic powers can exist and if so what might the antagonists be?

Awesome idea. I say good luck to you sir/madam! However what kind of powers do they have? I once came up with the idea of someone who could make real whatever someone ELSE was thinking about, but not himself. Thing was, he couldn't actually read minds so it was a crapshoot. Never went anywhere with the idea though.

Well you're thinking. From the little detail you shared about this character it looked like it had potential. With some more details it could blossom in to something very super hero worthy. I'd suggest adding mental disorders with this 2nd brain. Multiple Personality Disorder is a given; but you could get creative and add more obscure mental diseases. Actually after really thinking this over, this character could be a quite stellar hero or villain. I would actually make it a villain. Then again I always make my original characters villains. Cuz I'm biased towards Evil stuff. ^^'

Also, another idea. Perhaps maybe develop the scientist doing the procedure more? Maybe he could end up being the antagonist. There could actually be a lot of potential with him as well.
