I hate anime above 50 episodes. Especially episodic anime. A good story need not be long. Animes exceeding 50 episodes are animes with numerous arcs that keep on changing, with no promise of early resolution. Also, the longer a basic budget production goes, the lower the quality drops overtime. I wish anime's stick to 25 eps per season. At least stories are short and are fresh.
A good example of constricted length of production is Kara no Kyoukai. A seven part OVA with high quality art, animation, voice acting, and BGM. If it was rendered as an anime with many episodes, the quality of production would have dropped.
