...what would happen to him?

Christopher Nolan's Batman franchise is amazing for the obvious reasons and the best movie representation of the Dark Knight that we have yet been treated too, this is likely agreed by the majority.

However, Bruce Wayne is supposed to be an expert of all known martial arts, and as Superman once said "the most dangerous man on the planet" or something like that.

Anyway, what if say Bruce Wayne was blackmailed by a badass, say The Joker or Penguin, or even better the Riddler. And they threatened to bring him down (say by driving down Wayne Corp stock and bankrupting him) unless he entered the UFC. Batman is virtually useless without Bruce Wayne's cash and tech etc, so Wayne agrees to enter the tournament.

How do we all think he would fare? Remember this is Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne. Is he badaass enough to take on Kimbo Slice, Tito Ortiz, GSP and the Shamrocks etc?

A pink haired nancy boy beat Kimbo,I'm pretty sure Bruce could stare him into submission and actually I'm pretty sure Bruce would destroy most of the UFC/VariousMMAorgs fighters up to and including Fedor.

My bet is - yeah, sure. After all he trained all that time with Neeson and Watanabe and his body is in top shape. Besides - it's the Batman. He fought so many guys (at once!) in his life, I bet he would still have his almost unhuman awareness, strength, and billions of techniques he can execute, even without his suit.

Not to mention that UFC is a bit overrated IMO...

Why did you mention Kimbo Slice?

Anyways.. This question is pretty silly, I think a more valid one is "Who would win: A polar bear or a Jaguar"

Yeah.. That's what I think of your question.

This is my stance.

Bruce's biggest physical challenge (in Nolan's films remember) has been Ducard (Ra's Al Ghul) in Batman Begins. Apart from that he has just fought dopey mob goons. I don't think Nolan has convinced me yet that Bruce is a competent martial artist. He seems a bit too slow and repetitive to me and his opponents just stand there whilst he punches them about.

The new Arkham City trailer really shows the feral and brutal nature of how the Batman SHOULD fight. Yes, he gets hit a few times, but when he hits back, it fucking hurts. I.e. at one point in the trailer he lifts a mercenaries' leg up and kicks him full force in the nuts. And OCUH, you feel it!

I think if Nolan's Bruce Wayne entered the Octagon/other MMA tournament, it'd only be a matter of time before he'd get destroyed.

In theory he should be able to take on a dozen UFC/MMA/boxing champs at once. Nolan just hasn't convinced me that Bruce is lethal yet.

Maybe if Bane is in the new movie we'll see his fighting pushed to the limits.

He wouldn't get his ass handed to him, but he would not be The Batman, because as much as some fans like to believe it, Batman could not really happen. Batman is fantasy. In the real world, even Nolan's Batman would be just a man. A man with bones that can be broken and a body that can bleed.
The new films just try too hard to make it look like it could really happen. Even if someone could train himself as Batman did, no real police commissioner would allow a freak in a costume to run around like that. The commissioner would be fired and sent to a mental hospital if he did.
Batman is a childish creation. A boys fantasy. Nobody and nothing can change that. No high tech batmobile, kevlar armor or throat cancer voice. It will always be a grown man dressed up in a halloween bat costume trying to scare criminals.

So? Isn't that, why we all love in him?

DROP A DEUCE! (Not a fan of ol' bats I take it ;)

The fact is, with the suit etc he's at his most powerful. But it's his vengeance and rage that really drives him.

I remember a comic episode where he was framed for murdering his girlfriend of the time and put in jail...he loved it. In one scene his cell door is left open "by accident" and the guards allow a few nasty perps to go and give him a good seeing to. But he's just waiting for them in the shadows, and he dismantles them in the dark cell as if he was the Batman wearing his suit, and not Bruce Wayne in his prison stripes.

Nolan's Bruce Wayne isn't a brute, and he really needs to be.

Obviously he would because of the inherent rule of Batman which is simply that Batman always wins. People can try and drag this question into the petty realm of reality to alter this outcome but such a move is folly. Batman exists in a world that is not real which follows rules that would often conflict with those of this one. Simply put, if you try and do such a thing, the person filling the role of Batman is no longer Batman but a delusional impostor and thus any point one makes is moot before they start.

What weight class would he be in o.0 Wayne would prob get his arse handed too him - Take away his psychological presence, his gadgets and place him a ring that has certain rules'n'such and he's just a rich man with some combat training.

An incredibly fit rich man, with a lot of combat training. Plus a willpower that allows him to perform near superhuman feats of strength and endurance.

Yeah he's useless.

Dude... Polar Bear, hands down. Silly question because it's obvious.
