Poll: If you conquered a city?

Sometimes when i played Turn Based Strategy, and i was given the choice to kill everyone in a city or enslave them all, i often pondered what i should do in a real situation. If i was god emperor of all the universe and some people on a planet pissed me off, i may go for the enslavement, since dead bodies are useless. What would you do?

Why would I destroy a city if I just went through all the trouble of conquering it? That's certainly not a good idea. If I wanted to kill everyone in it, I would have used a nuke.

I'd call for a mass military volunteer recruitment, have them trained to be sent on their way to conquer the next city, and kill whoever was left. Repeat ad infinitum.

Damn straight, minus the Hitler part.

Who doesn't love 5 minutes of artiler strike to destroy the major buildings, then bombing runs right down the middle, close air support to kill the heavy defense, then roll the tanks and fly the helo-troops in to leave no living thing alive?

Yeah, we'd team up and leave the cities defenses in rubble. Then probably turn on each other on just how extremely leftist it will be haha
