Poll: If you could be an animal, what would it be?

What animal enjoys life the most, and lives long?

Elephants live long, have plenty of company, and can use their trunks to play with stuff.
But I might have to deal with habitat destruction or poachers.
Besides I'm not really that social.

It'd be fun to be agile, I think I'd quite like being a domestic cat, exploring, hunting, chilling with my human, that sounds like a good life.

I think I'd like to be a kitteh.

Tortoise. Because they just sort of seem like they've got a pretty good handle on life. Sure you can't get anywhere too fast, but nothing's gonna eat you. And you're never too far from home.

Domestic cats get it fucking easy, it looks like fun. If I had to pick something actually wild though, orcas are totally badass. Their genus name, Orcinus, means 'of the kingdom of the dead', they're apex predators, different populations can learn to specialise in totally different methods of hunting and they've been known to hunt and kill great white sharks.

It's amazing how shit they make fish look, when you consider how much longer fish have been living in the sea.
