The Force, clearly. I could use it to grab and move stuff, float around, use the mind trick, and I could even research it - try to invent new techniques, like Force Teleport.

With the training, I think I could just go about my business openly without worry.

Yeah... Can't decide.

A starship would be cool, force powers too. And lightsabers? Hell yes!

Of course, officially you can't really wield a lightsaber usefully without force powers anyway.

You think being able to deflect blaster shots is entirely down to the lightsaber? It requires superhuman reflexes. (Or rather, the ability to predict the immediate future. - Ie. A force power)

Well, the problem about going to the dark side is that you can only have 2 of you at any time, one master and one apprentice. Well...except if Luke joined, then there'd be 3, I guess. And before Anakin joined there was only 1...hmmm...

Depends on the era. Before Darth Bane instituted the "rule of two" around 1,000 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin), there could be as many Sith as they wanted. This is why Sith in games like KOTOR are as numerous as the Jedi, if not more so.

Being a Jedi isn't all it's cracked up to be. I'd rather be this guy:

I've always gravitated more towards starfighter pilots than Jedi.

If I had to choose however, I'd go with a Jedi from the New Order (so romantic pursuits are allowed) with mastery of the Force. It would be a pretty tranquil era anyway, what with the Empire eventually ground down to the point that it sues for peace. All that stupid Yuzzhan Vong crap never happened in my version of Star Wars.

Force all the way. I never understood the need for a light saber if the person wielding it could simply hurl a large rock at his opponent or pick him up and slam him into the wall a few times. If Vader could choke someone on a different ship, someone with a light saber should be little threat.

I'm pretty sure the force is supposed to be an important part of lightsaber training. Without the force training you'd be some novice with a stupidly dangerous weapon.

Well considering the fact that the only way to become a "Jedi" (do not read Force-user) is to be able to work the Force... um, yeah I'll take the Force. Not that I'd be a "Jedi". I'd just go around doing my own thing, using the Light and Dark side of the Force as needed. And when you get creative with the powers, you can essentially replicate those other skills or obtain those resources.

Surprised only one other person picked legion of soldiers. Yeah the force would be the only one that would probably ever be useful, but come on, think of how many third world countries you could take over with a highly advanced PMC of futuristic soldiers? Plus that basically comes with a ton of spaceships. THINK ABOUT IT

Force training for sure. Besides, it seems like the lightsaber should be only other real option here. It does not seem to me that to have an army or a spaceship one would need to be a Jedi.

The Force and Training of course, but the army under your command doesn't sound bad too...

EDIT: Then I would to steal a Lightsaber from some Jedi I killed, so would have the three.

Train in the force to learn to manipulate people and create an army of your own. then kill someone to get a lightsaber. All three right there. Plus, with that army, you're bound to get a gunship sooner or later. So I think we just broke the entire logic of the original question. Hooray!

definetly the force but... if i only received training in 1 thing I would just say fuck it and join the sith because the jedi are apparently incapable of training proper jedi.

It's scary how may people chose the Force over everything else. I'll go with the saber.

However, give me a lightsaber and a blaster, and I'll wreck havok on everyone who gets near or away from me.

Force powers allow me to Force Jump, Choke, Lightning, and use Jedi Mind Trick, as well as your standard telekinetic movement of objects. Being a lightsaber master would be cool, but it's just not as practical as being a master of the Force.

Oh, I forgot that you're able to essentially slow down time as a Jedi.

being jedi means i have the force to begin with. thus a legion of soldiers would be most beneficial as they could make a space ship ... seems like a no-brainer

The lightsabre is only good for show since Jedi can deflect blasters only because they are much slower than bullets and highly visible. Force powers are a lot more easily applicable and can't be taken away.

It's quite simple.

Start with the force ability. Choke another jedi with a lightsaber. You now have both the force and a lightsaber, and are a badass.

Due to your badassery, you can raise an army of willing followers.

The army, needing mobility, builds spaceships, with your own personal flagship.

Quite simple indeed. I'm seeing no catch here.
