I'll take the immortality, you can always make new friends, but living forever's a bit harder to come by.

Well you're indestructible. I don't think you could do yourself in, you'd be stuck.
well It didnt exactally say what kind of imortality it is

it could be like the vampire/ highlander type, your imortal but you can still die (decapitation) or you could be like a normal person who just happnes to live forever

then I guess statistically you'd still die from some kind of accident/disaster

if you were indescructible it would suck, youd become like dr manhatton..disconnected..floating through life unable to have relationships (your perception of time would change)

not to mention whatever "future humans" become you may not be able to relate to them..and then if the world/universe ends and your still stuck existing...

anyway Cracked.com did an entire article on why imortality would suck

No insects/spiders/rats/pest would ever come near you, they are always 100 yards away - hey, I like spiders! I'm thinking of getting some as pets in the future, so no. And besides, I don't think it's that useful, compared to immortality and such.

The law allows you to kill anyone you hate, with no charges whatsoever - Meh, I'm lazy. Why would I need to go around killing people, it's too much work. On top of that, I don't hate my hated people enough to kill them. This one would be wasted on me.

Present friends, family, loved ones dies but you are indestructible and cannot age - Immortality, now we're talking. I'm a bit of a loner, so at least there wouldn't be a huge amount of sacrafices to get immortality...on the other hand, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like them dying. But what really made me not choose it, is the fact that there would be too much expected from me, maybe I'll even be locked in a lab for a few hundred years for experiments. Immortality and indestructibility are a bit hard to conceal for eternity.

You do not need to sleep, your body and mind are always at 100% - that's good. Even though, I know I'll miss sleep, That's towards the top of my list. I'll effectively get at least a third more active time (in fact it's lots more because of never being tired).

Get 40 dollars each day for the rest of your life - sounds good for now, while I'm a student. When I finish, I should be able around taht much if not more (365 * 40$ = 14600$ not really game breaking).

Games and movies are free to you from now on but if you tried selling them or have someone else do it, you die. - Duh, it's caller piracy. You're not really offering anything new.

Helicopter servant that could take you anywhere for the rest of your life. although it sounds sort of cool, it's inferior to everything else (aside the pests ward thing). Unless you really have to travel a lot, its usefulness and fun will evaporate in a few months or so.

You are 50% faster, stronger, smarter, and wiser - That's it! I picked that! I was going to pick the "forever awake one" but then I saw this! Now let's do a quick calculation - being forever awake will boost your productivity by a third (no sleep) plus a bit some more (not being tired), this will boost not boost it by a half but more, since you will just operate better. And depending on that speed thing (is it "run faster"/"faster reflexes" or actually "operate faster"), it could be more. At any rate, that's the best option. Those 40 bucks a day? You should be able to make them yourself easily.

EDIT: well, ninja'd by Mortai Gravesend. Great minds think alike or something?

It did. It says "indestructible" which would mean "cannot be killed" not just "lives forever until killed".

I'm confused with the immortality one, do my family die like the minute I pick it or is it just they will die of old age and I won't?

If it's the latter definitely that. If not then the 50% better thing.

Either way I'm fighting crime.

Helicopter baby.

I'm not paying him, and I presume likewise I'm not paying for the fuel. Or repairs. Etc.

Bingo.

I've just founded my multi-million dollar business offering joy flights all over the world.

I picked the not-needing-sleep option. I'm not a fan of sleeping at all, I only do a minimal amount of it because I have to. So being able to discard the need to sleep, and still remain at 100% would be amazing, and would save me so much time. My schedule is simply too big for only two thirds of the day, really, so being able to use all of it would pretty much be an Odin-send.

I would have to go with the immortality option. I would be curious to see how different nations would progress along 200 or 300 years.

Well, I thought about how awesome it would be to kill certain people without legal repercussions, but then I would go massively over the top. I would become an openly hated figure, even more of a pariah and an outcast than I already am.

Helicopter servant it is. I like travelling, unlimited personal air transport is a bit of a wet dream for me. I could easily commute to work anywhere within 100-150 miles, depending on the speed of the helicopter. At weekends, I could go anywhere I like within a reasonable distance. Short hop to Paris, perhaps. After refuelling, all the way to Rome, no airport underwear inspections or rectal exams.

If you 50% stronger, smarter, faster and wiser, you could live your life to a higher potential

I chose the option where I wouldn't have to sleep and am at 100% all the time. My second choice would have been 50% stronger/better but I figure if I'm at 100% all the time then it could devote my time a lot more easily to making myself stronger/better.

If Hohenheim from Fullmetal Alchemist has taught me anything, it's that living forever and watching your loved ones age and die before you while you never age can be a very depressing experience.

I'd probably pick the $40 option, but with the 50% increase in intelligence and physical ability I could find a way to make my own money.

I could never bring myself to choose the 'no more sleep' option. I like my sleep, I like my dreams.

Someone above already mentioned the Cracked article illustrating why, if I ever wished for immortality, it would have to be with some pretty damned specific caveats.

The money... well right now I'm unemployed, so your $40, translated into English money I assume, would be nice... but is that adjusted for inflation?

Regardless, a 50% boost to all stats would, I think, outweigh everything anyway. So that.
