If I picked a console, would I still be able to use the PC for things other than gaming? Not that I would, filthy console gaming peasants. PC is easily the one I would pick.

If this was just consoles, it'd be the Nintendo 64, easily. Every other console I play gets old, but the 64 never, ever does.

However, you included the PC, and it's just impossible not to select it.

I would go with a PC. I would miss Nintendo exclusives, but PC is the platform I use most. I would also miss the chance to some of the best RPGs out there, but there's emulators that can do these things.

There is no competition in this.

PC.

Why?
Well, simply put:
Widest selection of games.
Widest selection of control possibility.
Best looking games.
Mods
Ability to emulate every console's games. I don't even use my N64 anymore, I just run it on my PC.
Add to that the Indie scene, and all the gaming websites with games for when you're just blankminded and want some fun.

Really, I've only played the PC anyway for the last 10 years or so. At some friends houses I'd play a console, but otherwise I haven't had need for one.

PC. I'm a PS3 owner, but I'll take steam's indie launchpad over Sony and Microsoft's exclusives any day.
Don't care about halo or gears of war.
Resistance was pretty OK. And I had a lot of fun with infamous.
But still, Total War, Star Ruler, Terraria, Minecraft etc.

Goodbye LittleBigPlanet, I'll never forget you! You too InFAMOUS! Good riddance XBox!

It'll be absolutely Nintendo for me. I'll still be playing Mario, Zelda, Metroid et. al when I'm a toothless old man with hair growing out of my ears.

Well I'm not a fan of consoles myself, so PC is the obvious choice. There also seems to be a lot more you can do with a computer, a lot more options, so there is the longevity and customisation too.

I'm only saying Nintendo only for the Snes, GBA and Gamecube etc. Sure I love Wii games like No More Heroes and Xenoblade Chroncile but the Wii is not enough for me to play for the rest of my life!

PC, easily. I'm not a member of the "PC gaming master race" but there's just so many more advantages on PC.

Anyone who doesn't choose PC is wrong. Let me qualify this statement: I own all 3 consoles and prefer console gaming, HOWEVER, PC is still the right choice in this particular situation for several reasons;

-largest library of games

-gives access to mods

-most versatile system

-can be upgraded infinitely(either by actual upgrades or buying new ones)

-any game that comes out for any console will one day be on an emulator for the PC

I would choose PC, for the sher fact of emulation, but I think because of he way the OP worded it, that seems ou the window.

So maybe PC or a PS2.

PC defiantly and I'm a Xbox player however I love strategy games and I'm looking forward to getting a new computer to be able to play them again.
Plus PC have all the stuff I want on, all the games I have on my Xbox, are on the PC so no loss there.

Half a year ago I would have said my 360. Since getting a new gaming rig, I've gone back to my previous ways of PC gaming. So yeah, PC all the way.

PC for me. Largest selection of exclusive games that I enjoy, I prefer keyboard and mouse controls even for games where they're considered sub-optimal (like Assassin's Creed) and I like messing around with my settings and geeking out over new hardware. I enjoy consoles and I love a lot of console games but I'm a PC gamer at heart.

As much as I love the PS3, I do find myself playing my Xbox a lot more. Probably has something to do with the PS3 controller murdering my hands after playing for a little while. And Nintendo is pretty much out of the picture. And I don't like playing games on my PC. So I'd probably go with Microsoft.
