Where's the "no game" option, people should be allowed to enjoy what they want. There are plenty of popular game series (which I won't mention as the actual ones are irrelevant) which I don't like but I wouldn't take away other people's fun, and neither should you.

Probably CoD, love CoD3 but I'm never gonna play the others, I have my reasons (just making a quick post here) and because by doing that I could just fuck with EVERY SINGLE CoD Fan, and that would be hilarious (several of my classmates play it(17years old)). As for Mario and Rockband/Guitar Hero, I just ignore them, come to think of it I haven't cared for Mario or Nintendo in general for years.

i hate Final Fantasy more than anything... but of course i wouldnt doom the franchise if i actually had the power to. it has a lot of fans. still, i voted for it just for the sake of being honest XD

but i would possibly get rid of the Guitar Hero/Rock Band franchises. those developers are completely wasting their potential by putting out the same basic games year after year after year

The only reason I voted for it wasn't because that I feel what they're doing is wrong, but their formula is destroying video games. I don't necessarily blame them as much as I blame other publishers for copying their formula. They have proven that you can make an ungodly amount of money by pushing out a redundant and boring fps that focuses on multiplayer and other companies are mimicking them. All publishers want to do is push out proven sequels that do little to improve on the gameplay. If it can be a COD clone, even better.

Although I'm not a huge COD fan anymore, I can't blame them for wanting to make money (screwing over your fan base is a totally different subject). However, if you removed it, I feel that as an industry, games would be much more diverse and their abilities would be farther ahead then they are now.

I don't really believe that they should pay for others' mistakes, but in a poll, I'd opt for it.

I'm going to say Half-Life. Not because I don't like the game (I don't like it anyways), but I'm tired of people acting like it's the best video game orgasm ever and that Episode 3 is going to be the climax of said video game orgasm.

I'm voting WOW on this one. I loved the Warcraft RTSs before WOW, and since it's killed off most of the main characters in instances and raids, my hopes for a new Warcraft RTS are dying.

Why the hell would anybody who enjoys video games want to remove any game franchise? If you don't like them, don't play them. Millions of people enjoy the lised franchises. Just because you're incapable of accepting an opinion on a subjective subject doesn't mean a franchise deserves to not exist.
Who said I wasn't capable of accepting other people's opinions? I don't think CoD has done anything to deserve the praise and hype it receives. MY opinion, which you apparently can't accept, is that CoD has set a path for FPS which could ruin the genre. 5 hour campaign? No thanks. Most of the weapons in Black Ops have completely different in game stats, but they are all coded identical. Do you want other FPS's to continue this trend?
The problem with alot of FPS's isn't COD in itself, it's developers thinking that since COD is popular, their shooters need to be just like it. This is why people crave for another Duke Nukem and Timesplitters, because they're nothing like COD. My two-cents right there.

OT: I wouldn't get rid of any...except maybe FIFA. Play real football!

I'd find out what the OP's favorite series is and remove that, just so he can learn to think before suggesting silly ideas such as this.
My favorite series would be Final Fantasy (no, I'm not a FFVII fanboy, it's one of my least favorite) and think everything after X is bad. My favorite game is Tactics, with Earthbound a close second. As I've said earlier, I despise CoD. IMO, the new CoD's have done nothing but potentially ruin the FPS genre. I'm not going to repeat myself, if you want to know why read through the first two pages.
I do have to ask why does everyone feel it relevant to state they do not like FFVII if they actually do not like it. I understand everyone has their one game in the series they don't like and have their chip on the shoulder about but it does get irritating.

OT: I'd say games like Postal and Rapelay that people like to cite for the reason gaming shouldn't and couldn't ever be considered a mature medium. I know plenty of games aren't mature but some of them can be and they can be used to put forward mature issues.

Other - Zelda.
Mario is a close second though. The original mario games were great, but when you get to the point where you're making Super Paper Mario Galaxy Party XXIV you just need to stop.
Then maybe Final Fantasy at third.

Yay! I'm the only vote for Fallout! It's really only because one of my classmates who thinks I'm his friend has a giant mancrush on Fallout 3 and NV. He's constantly telling me how it's the best game ever made and how realistic it is. I'm sorry, but any game where the hand guards on an AR-15 are replaced by wood is not realistic. That's like saying that Mod Warfare 2 is a giant weapons encyclopedia...

No doubt Call of Duty. The new games in the series have been milked to where It's the same game you already got but with new re-skinned weapons and game modes. The campaigns are always poorly written and most of it is composed by scripted sequences. The multiplayer aspects are always unbalanced and weighs on how "hardcore" you are, while no real 'skill' is involved. If anything, CoD has been downgrading the first-person shooter genre for a few years now. It's the game you hear small children or kids with an education lower than their grade talk about. Having the franchise removed would be a good thing for games everywhere. People have been pouring out money into this boring franchise when it could be used to fund good games.
Just when you wish the series will die out, they release another game. With franchises like these though, I'm not sure if you could call them games. A proper term would be "expansion pack", because that's about how much content you're getting for something that should only cost $20.
Good riddance.

Final Fantasy:

Kill it with fire!
Yes, this! Mainly because I haaaate turn based games. Why does anything need to be turned based in the age of computing technology that we have now? The game that made me hate FF? Number 7, the one people argue was one of the best of the entire series. I watched someone play that and thought there couldn't be anything more stupid than watching a 45 second wind-up animation to cast a spell or something just to have your opponent take three step back and have a little number of hit points float across the screen.

World of Warcraft is a close 2nd place. MMOs are life sucking plagues in my book. I like a game to have a beginning and end. Gives you a sense of accomplishment when you finish. Endlessly running around to level up indefinitely? Hurrrgh! I feel bad for people who really want another Warcraft RTS, as they'll probably won't get one. This is why if Blizzard ever makes a Starcraft MMO, I will rage in a manner that will make IdrA look like a mellow dude (cookie for that reference). Do not sully the Koprulu Sector with canon destroying MMO bullshit.

To the people who are saying that no game franchise should be erased, I more or less agree, but think this is a hypothetical question. However I wish I really could erase Postal. Those games were basically the video game equivalent of a snuff film. Nobody really plays them anymore and they only serve as ammo for the anti-gaming crowd.

Bioshock 2 and Infinite; The abominations
Okay, granted Bioshock 2 wasn't nearly as good as the original, but Infinite? The game's not even out yet. All that's been shown is a two minute trailer and a bit of pre-alpha concept gameplay. It's not even in beta yet; wait until 2012 before you pass judgment on it.

Fallout/TES
This made me angry.
There were Fallout games before 3, you know? They were also not made with the gamebryo engine.
Grrr, kids these days...

OT: I wouldn't remove any of them, because I either like them or don't give a shit if they do or do not exist.
