Let's say you have been sentenced to death, but the judge is merciful enough to allow you to choose how you shall be executed from a list, what would you choose?
Personally, I would choose beheading. Quick, painless, although crude. I couldn't stand the sight of a firing squad before me, or the anxiety of lethal chemicals running through my veins.

What kind of beheading? If we're talking executioner with an axe it might take a few swings to actually decapitate someone (same goes for some others including a guillotine).

Assuming I had enough money going into death-row I would buy some C4 and strap it to my face. Instant head explosion seems like a dramatic/painless death.

Edit: Or, assuming this is the 80's future, I'd like to be on the Running Man. That would be badass.

You might want to take the advice of Bon Jovi's nameless protagonist and make it by the Gun or Knife. It hurts, but it's quick, and has the benefit of being quite messy too. Someone's gonna have to clean that up ... but it's not going to be you.

What about the anxiety of someone hovering over you with a pointy axe?

I'd probably go with the chemicals or a shot to the head. Something that's quick, I can't think of a way to be executed with dignity.

Beheading (if done right) would be quick, but painless? Dunno about that. Does anyone know how long the head can last without the body?

Bullet to the sweet spot for me, from a competent marksman. Immediate death, which is why police sniper use that...no time to pull the trigger, at least not voluntarily.

On the other hand, one of those executions which makes you a god-like supernatural being like they did in the Mummy...without all the torture first. Seems a bit odd to condemn you criminals to having epic magic powers of destruction, actually.

Probably a shot/stab or something to the brain stem, which I believe is the most instant way of dying. If not, I'd go with lethal injection due to the lack of pain. The anxiety of waiting for your death would be unbearable though. If I could choose how I end, I'd be happy as long as it's instant/painless and I don't see it coming

How would old age be allowed? Execution is defined as someone killing you (with a lawful purpose). Someone can't make you old faster than you are already going. Although if they could speed the process up 1000x I am sure they would allow old age.

Sexual exhaustion is a thing that people can die of so I would imagine so. Trust me, you don't want this option.
