Poll: If you haven't picked a side on the next portable gen, what would make your mind?

In my case it would be a FFIVDS style remake of FFVI, or once Atlus releases a real SMT or Persona game on either console.

Edit: Clarified title, and forgot to mention that a real sequel for the Phoenix Wright games: (Not Apollo, not Edgeworth) may also tip the scales for me.

If they were reasonably priced and actually had more then two or three worthwhile games. So far the psp already has the worthwhile games requirement met. Im sure I will eventually buy one but there is no way in hell I am paying the current prices.

The ds, well considering that have yet to create one decent game on it I dont see myself ever buying one.

They're making an enhanced version of Devil Survivor, but that's all I know about what Atlus is doing.

Well I've already kinda picked a side, Xbox, but when I buy it I'll probably wait a year for the first price drop, that's what I've been doing since I got my N64. But I could be tempted to go Sony if a certain game was finally released (Kingdom Hearts 3)

Portable gaming never really seemed all that interesting. From my perspective, it just seems like you get 1/3 of the fun/support/entertainment of a console of PC game and have to rely on a dwindling power-source all while staring at a tiny screen.

Like Unstable mentioned, they're remaking Devil Survivor 1, but its sequel will be released in the regular DS, which may tell us they haven't really picked a side.

Agreed. If it wasn't for those really neat console exclusive titles (Re: Atlus) c it'd be enough.

I already picked a side, Nintendo, primarily because Sony's first party titles usually don't interest me besides Ape Escape...and umm, plus the vita doesnt even have a UMD drive, may support Vita if they made their Online store more appealing instead of sticking Disney Junk on every week.

Whereas the 3DS is sort of lacking in the 1st party department, but will be more prominent eventually,

I'm hanging on my Xbox. I'll probably get an iPad for work and then do some games on that though.

There would have to be a new pokemon game (and I mean new, not a remake) for me to even entertain the possibility of getting a 3DS. It's a thing that I already bought two of (after one broke) with 3D. I'm already sold on the PSV, love my PSP, and they fixed my only gripe by adding a second analog stick.

I don't have a 3DS yet, because I can't afford it right now, there's not that many games for it yet and my old DS still works fine. I've never even concidered getting a PSP simply because there hasn't been many games for it that are even a little bit interesting, and I don't think that's going to change with a new version. I'll stick with Nintendo, there's so many great games for the DS. I'm just waiting for the 3DS library to get bigger before I upgrade.
