Shadow of the Colossus, hands down. Since the colossi are complete pushovers when you know how to beat them, the game really loses in the excitement and epicness factor on replays. But that first playhrough, man... I swear my mouth was open every second there was a colossus on screen.

I want to play Fallout 3 for the first time again.

And the Myst games. God, what a feeling it was, exploring strange new worlds for the first time.

I've said before to other people that I would love to re-watch Code Geass with a clean slate, the emotions I felt were genuine and I would love to experience them again!

But in terms of a video game? I guess I'd prefer to forget all the spoilers I've ever heard (wouldn't we all), because sadly I haven't actually played Bioshock. I would however like to forget one of the vaults in Fallout: New Vegas: my initial response to the ending, "That's fucked up! Ha ha ha."
You're talking about Vault 11 right? The one with the "election?"
That was definitely my favorite part of that game; it was the only part with that Twilight Zone feeling I got all the time in Fallout 3.
I would probably replay the fallouts too.

Assuming you still had all your other mental facilities, and you could at least remember which games you really enjoyed, which games would you replay first if you got amnesia.
After finishing Portal 2, I almost wish I could get amnesia to have as much fun the second time. I saw this coming so I tried to smoke massive amounts of weed while I was playing in the hopes that my short term memory would be bamboozled enough for me to enjoy a second playthrough later... okay it wasn't the only reason.... okay that's just a happy accident.... kidding...
Don't do drugs kids.

So what games would go on your list of amnesia games? These wouldn't just be games with static puzzles but games that held many surprises for you.
which game would you replay first if you didn't remember what any of them were like? err, you can see the floor in your own reasoning there right?

OT: fuck i don't know, whichever one has the shiniest box - thats what marketing is for.

OffT: if i loose my memory, there's going to be a lot i do before i game again.
No I covered that hole (or "floor"?) in the question in the first sentence. Go ahead and re-read it "and you could at least remember which ones you enjoyed."

So what would you do before gaming if you lost your memory?

Ocarina of Time
Tales of Symphonia
Assassin's Creed
Red dead Redemption
Silent Hill: Shatered Memories, you can only play it once... but is fun to look your friends play.

Alundra, and most other games that were greatly enhanced by the puzzles.

I actually have made a point of not playing Alundra (despite being my favorite game) for several years. I'm hoping I'll forget most (if not all) of the puzzles and nuances so I can enjoy it fully again.

Two Worlds, then, since it will be my first game, I'll think it is great, then I'll play other games and find them better so it will go from good to better.

Morrowind. Some of my fondest memories are when I was a newb. I almost crapped my pants when I saw the Silt Strider.

Final Fantasy VIII. That game is just.. that game.. HOOOOHOHOHOOOHOO.
I've been urging to play it today. Don't mind me. Goddamn PS1 won't play my goddamn FFVIII discs.
But yeah, now that I've played through it and I know everything that'll happen, the story, as you can predict, doesn't give me the feeling of insane awesomeness it gave me when I first went through it.
But that doesn't stop me from playing it again when I get urges such as this. When my discs aren't knackered, anyway.

I watched too many playthroughs as a kid, so i spoiled alot of games like halo, half-life, bioshock (definitly bioshock, i'd love to relieve that moment when you first see Rapture), fallout 3.

bioshock:
the andrew ryan killing himself through you scene is amazing, plus the 'there is no atlas' twist is just awesome
minecraft: what an amazing game, but now ive pretty much built everything i can think of legitimately, i dont play it.
assassin's creed 1 2 and brotherhood: all great games with awesome stories, but the re-play value is just too little.
portal 1: such a GREAT game, amazingly funny, amazing story. great at challenging without frustration involved. it really is the best puzzle game (besides tetris) i have ever played.

Pffft.... Too many games, I'd hate to loose all of that playtime... you you kids it my not be so bad but I'm nearly 30! Thats got to be 10's of thousands of gaming hours.

I'm not sure I could choose, i'd want to play al of the games I have played, even the bad ones, except maybe DAO, that one can go die in hell.

Hmm, perhaps I should start where I started before: Gauntlet 2 :)
