Poll: If you only buy one, which will it be....Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3?

I personally will only be buying Battlefield 3 as in I have had my fill with the yearly rehash of the same game from activision running the same engine since COD 2. Fool me once, shame on you activision... fool me twice, shame on me. In this case shame on me 4 times. All the footage from the BF 3 info has my mouth watering to put my new gameing tower through its paces.

Agreed.

It all boils down to personal preference, of course, but I didn't like how Activision handled the multiplayer in MW2. I much prefered how Bad Company played, and will definately be going that way again when BC3 comes out. Might hire out MW3 and give it a whirl, but I can't see myself parting with much cash for it.

Battlefield 3, personally. But my dad and sister love CoD, so I'll have MW3 downstairs, while I play Battlefield up here.

I decided at MW2 that i wouldn't every buy another COD unless it made massive changes, which it hasn't and probably wont so its not even a question for me

I always have had more fun with the Battlefield franchise then COD. I prefer most other shooters over COD (Except modern warfare).

MW3, because I prefer arcade style games and I HATE vehicular combat in FPS multiplayer, except for the Halo series because they do vehicles correctly.

Battlefield 3 all the way, especially with it looking more and more like you are gonna have to pay a monthly fee for the next CoD as well as their $15 map packs. Battlefield gives you free maps and $10 for a true expansion.

Define correctly?

They're easy to destroy and don't turn you into an unstoppable death machine. They're also a lot more balanced in a game like Halo, since you can absorb quite a lot more damage than you can in Battlefield or Call of Duty. Vehicles just don't work well when they can kill you instantly.

Picked up a CoD game a while back. It's an arcade series, really. Not my thing.

Well as I rmember it, BF BC 2 vehicles were actually quite easy to kill if you knew what you were doing? And by comparison you obviously dont remember when Reach launched with the Scorpions on full death machine mode. But to each his own I guess.
