Poll: If you own a PS3 do you own a mic?

With more and more games depending on online play its important for the majority of people who own a console to have a mic and make it useful enough to buy. I owned a 360 first and I couldn't imagine not having a mic. But now I own a PS3 there dont seem to be enough people who either own one or use one for me to be pressured into buying one.

If you own A PS3 do you have or use a mic?

EDIT: Also if you have one tell me do you find it useful?

I own a PS3 and I do not have a mic. There's so few people on PSN that use mics, and I can't understand what the hell the ones that do have mics are saying, so I really don't see a point in getting one.

I cant understand why but I would suggests they make a cheaper mic that either comes with a PS3 or cost very little and once everyone gets use to everyone talking they will go out and buy the better quality mic. Thats what Microsoft did and it worked.

I don't own a PS3 but I bought a mic for my brother who does own one. I don't know if he uses it but he has one.

The charger from my mic went missing so I have to use my RockBand mic. Yes I have one. Two, actually.

People onthe 360 sit there and flame each other. The people on PSN talk about what they did at school that day, or their date last nig ht, or how painful anal sex was... It's a massive fucking distraction. If I see someone intelligent, I'll turn my mic on, if they wanna talk about soccer practice and how to bake cookies, I'll mute them

I have a mic and so do my friends that I play with, its easier to organise team tactics when you can hear everyone.

I never got one. My family's always sitting in the living room where my consoles are, so I barely get to use the Xbox headset I have.
Not much point spending £30 on something I'm never even going to have the chance to use.

yeah i would. my brother told me that nobody talks on ps3, but i love talking and flaming call of duty lobbies. teamspeak would be great for ps3, i'm online at teamspeak 24/7

Yes, made some PSN friends because of it. I was on Lost Planet 2 where the massive Akrid tries to eat the train. Lots of joking then near the end I shouted "GET TO DA CHOPPA!"

I own one and have used it on occasion, but with not cross-game chat and almost zero people talking in MP lobbies, there's almost no point. At least it's bluetooth and can be used on non-PS3 devices, or else it would be useless.

I don't feel the need to have one, as hardly anyone ever talks, and whenever they do it's usually inaudible over the music that they're listening to.

The point of a mic is to talk, not show everyone what your music tastes are.

I only use it when I'm playing with friends which isn't very often. I'd rather not hear the garble noise that comes out of other people's mics.
