I would opt for a black one so then I could be an anti-hero Jedi (not the whiney emo kind of anti-hero, I'm talking full blown type 4/5).

I would be the most badass force in the galaxy!

Anyways, I will end with a brief - I hate that every single fucking Sith carries a Red Light Saber. For some reason it just kind of chaps my ass a little bit. I don't know why, it's just a little predictable. "Hey is that guy good or evil?"
"What color Light Saber is he carrying?"
"A red one."
"He's evil."

Fuck you George Lucas
That has always annoyed me as well. Why can't they use blue or green or whatever? They are just colors. Color of a blade that represents you does not need to represent your alignment to the very vague concept of good vs. evil.

I chose purple, but I think I used Cyan lightsaber in one of the Kotor games. The other one I did use a purple one.

Ultraviolet. Would be invisible to the naked eye and thus would be even more frightening when you make a motion whith a seemingly empty handle and a head gets sliced off.

Those with UV sensors would get quite a sight though.

Bees and chickens would be very confused.

Infrared for the same reason.
That's almost bullshit, but at the same time, it's so smart, how can you argue against it?

I would probably dual wield, one of them being viridian (not green, viridian is a much cooler color), and the other would either be gold, silver, or cyan. I choose colors based on the ones from the Bioware games, not the crazy ass black, white, and every color in-between from that train-wreck of a game they called Force Unleashed.

Actually, the lightsaber color signifies your fighting style. So while purple isn't my favorite color, it represents the strongest fighting style, and is why I would choose purple.
Not exactly. In many cases that is the truth, but Dooku and Vadar have different styles. Many wielders of red lightsabers have different styles. But yes, I would agree with you that those with green lightsabers tend to be more force oriented Jedi. But that doesn't always translate to the same fighting style.

And I wouldn't say Windu's fighting style is the best and that is why he has a purple lightsaber. It certainly is a great and powerful style, but he would be just as powerful with a blue or green lightsaber. Color tends to be a personal choice in these matters.
Actually, there are seven forms. Windu's form is the Ferocity Form(forgot the Star Wars language term). The reason his lightsaber is purple is because it is blue mixed with red. Blue lightsabers are for those who prefer to fight rather than think(notice how Luke's blade was originally blue, but when he built himself a new one it turned green because he was a much more thoughtful and experienced Jedi). Red lightsabers are obviously linked to those who are Sith. The Ferocity Form requires the user to enjoy fighting(red), but experieced users are able to not fall to the Dark Side(blue). This form is undeniably the best because it is the most difficult to master and is incredibly powerful, because it dabbles in two forms.

I'm familiar with all of that info. Windu's form has the potential to turn its wielders to the dark side and it can only be truly mastered if one can learn it and not fall to the dark side. But yes, it is extremely powerful if mastered properly. And while all of that stuff about the color of his lightsaber makes sense, he got that color purple lightsaber crystal before he perfected that form.

Also, if what you are saying is true about the colors, why didn't Obi-Wan's lightsaber become green later one (when he assumes the name Ben Kanobi)? He is obviously wiser and isn't so apt to resort to fighting. It isn't always clear cut, although yes, your point does make sense for generalizing.

A lot of you are picking silver. Should I change the poll options to "White / Silver"? Have any of you silver saber wielders voted for white for your choice?

I just picked a few of you who put silver so you would see this message and possibly give a response back.

Thanks!

I voted white, but I'd rather have a silver one like in KotOR II.

Almost definitely silver. I like the understated look.

EDIT: I mean, relatively understated. it's still a large glowing sword.

I didn't vote for any, since silver wasn't an option. :) White is definitely distinct from silver as a colour, in my opinion. A white lightsabre would be blinding, a silver one would have that same 'colourless' feel of white, but it would be more toned down. Just my opinion, of course. :p I suppose though, that if you can't add silver as its own option, it's closer to white than other colours.

I would fall under the category of "rogue Jedi" since I can't get away with calling myself a freelance force user. I prefer a black lightsaber because for a fraction of a second, you feel like you're staring into nothing. I'd also use a compressed crystal to get a pulse effect that helps avoid saber locks.
