That has always annoyed me as well. Why can't they use blue or green or whatever? They are just colors. Color of a blade that represents you does not need to represent your alignment to the very vague concept of good vs. evil.hailmagus said:Anyways, I will end with a brief - I hate that every single fucking Sith carries a Red Light Saber. For some reason it just kind of chaps my ass a little bit. I don't know why, it's just a little predictable. "Hey is that guy good or evil?"
"What color Light Saber is he carrying?"
"A red one."
"He's evil."
Fuck you George Lucas
That's almost bullshit, but at the same time, it's so smart, how can you argue against it?Terminalchaos said:Ultraviolet. Would be invisible to the naked eye and thus would be even more frightening when you make a motion whith a seemingly empty handle and a head gets sliced off.
Those with UV sensors would get quite a sight though.
Bees and chickens would be very confused.
Infrared for the same reason.
Actually, there are seven forms. Windu's form is the Ferocity Form(forgot the Star Wars language term). The reason his lightsaber is purple is because it is blue mixed with red. Blue lightsabers are for those who prefer to fight rather than think(notice how Luke's blade was originally blue, but when he built himself a new one it turned green because he was a much more thoughtful and experienced Jedi). Red lightsabers are obviously linked to those who are Sith. The Ferocity Form requires the user to enjoy fighting(red), but experieced users are able to not fall to the Dark Side(blue). This form is undeniably the best because it is the most difficult to master and is incredibly powerful, because it dabbles in two forms.zenoaugustus said:Not exactly. In many cases that is the truth, but Dooku and Vadar have different styles. Many wielders of red lightsabers have different styles. But yes, I would agree with you that those with green lightsabers tend to be more force oriented Jedi. But that doesn't always translate to the same fighting style.tmujir955 said:Actually, the lightsaber color signifies your fighting style. So while purple isn't my favorite color, it represents the strongest fighting style, and is why I would choose purple.
And I wouldn't say Windu's fighting style is the best and that is why he has a purple lightsaber. It certainly is a great and powerful style, but he would be just as powerful with a blue or green lightsaber. Color tends to be a personal choice in these matters.
I'm familiar with all of that info. Windu's form has the potential to turn its wielders to the dark side and it can only be truly mastered if one can learn it and not fall to the dark side. But yes, it is extremely powerful if mastered properly. And while all of that stuff about the color of his lightsaber makes sense, he got that color purple lightsaber crystal before he perfected that form.tmujir955 said:Actually, there are seven forms. EDIT: I mean, relatively understated. it's still a large glowing sword.
