Do you mean like Oblivion Vampires where I can go out in the sun as long as I drink blood daily? Yes.
Lore-ically, Crosses don't work, nor does Garlic.Quazimofo said:i was on the fence before i remembered that vampires cant eat garlic, that just pushed me over the edge. no daylight? fine. no silver? fine. weakness to wood stakes? not much difference from normal. but no Garlic? i just couldnt do it, i love garlic all too much.
I don't believe in a soul but even if there is a soul who you are is made up of your experiences....and honestly if you continue to remember your past experiences after death then we are all immortal anyway (which I do not want to be...and considering how many people in this thread list that as a reason to not be a vampire neither do many others).spartan231490 said:wulfy42 said:First, vampires are not immortal, they just won't die of old age. They can die or even kill themselves if they get overly tired of life.
So the fear of immortality is really not a reason to say no.
If being a vampire made you automatically evil and selfish then I would say no. If you kept control of yourself but just had strong cravings for blood....I would probably say yes, and then train myself to be a vampire hunter (If I was a vampire there would be others out there preying on people).
In fact, I would probably search out other mortals who I could trust with a similar belief and make them vampires as well, so we would have a posse of vampire, vampire hunters. We would roam the earth killing vampires everywhere we found them until there were no more vampires and then together we would see one last sunrise, our reward for a job well done.Even with the damned soul thing? That's pretty universal to Vampire lore.joshuaayt said:Why not? There are no real cons to this arrangement. I don't go outside, can't afford silver and I don't tend to trespass very often (question: Does this include all land owned, or just the physical domicile? I don't really mind either way, but it would be nice to know if I'm allowed to leap from rooftop to rooftop or not.)
I don't need daylight hours, and hate garlic anyway. I could use the various associated superpowers, though. So, yes, I would. In a heart ----.
out of interest, why? being a werewolf would be horrible. I mean very few advantages over a regular human apart from once a month you turn into a wolfman and kill everything you see/smell/hear.BreakfastMan said:Not really. To many major downsides if you ask me. Now if you said werewolf, that would be a entirely different story...
silver is explosive? thats pretty cool. i learned something today, and i should probably change my answer then since i can eat garlic.Trolldor said:Lore-ically, Crosses don't work, nor does Garlic.Quazimofo said:i was on the fence before i remembered that vampires cant eat garlic, that just pushed me over the edge. no daylight? fine. no silver? fine. weakness to wood stakes? not much difference from normal. but no Garlic? i just couldnt do it, i love garlic all too much.
And silver is only as effective as it is pointy/explodey.
