Poll: If you were legally allowed to sample human flesh, just once - would you?

Scenario: Some random guy died and before he did he signed some papers that allowed his body to be served to anyone willing to eat it.
If you choose to dine, you will not be sent to jail etc. You can eat whatever part of the body and if you want it cooked first, then it can be cooked.
So, would you like to learn what human tastes like? (Assuming you don't already know)

Also, I would try it. I've always been curious about how tasty we might be.
Just saying, I swear I'm not a psycho.

There's human flavored tofu, if you're really that curious.

Still, I wouldn't bother. I mean, I'd take a good piece of seafood or a nice cut of red meat over white meat, any day.

And then what happens if you do particularly enjoy it?

Same reason I don't eat beef jerky. I fucking love squid jerky and eat it whenever I get my hands on it, so I don't want to try the kind of jerky that's readily available, for fear of having to ever desire it.
Not to mention, I'd rather not feel like a freak in my own head; I'm already odd enough to other people as it is.

I've heard that its supposed to be the same as pork. I don't often eat pork and eating people isn't much of a deal to me, it's just nutrients in the shape of a person.

Nah. The way I see it, there's a reason cannibals are frowned upon. Removing the consequences and legal barrier wouldn't change the fact I'd still be going against my principles by eating human flesh.

Besides, there are tastier things out there to munch on.

If it came with a side of fava beans and a nice Chianti, I might give it a try.

As for the OP:
Nope, not curious about what people taste like at all. I've heard we taste a bit like pork, so... I'd rather eat pork.
Besides, ew. You dont know where they've been.
Unless I was literally going to die otherwise, and even then I dont know that I would, I wouldn't be chowing down on any people.

I don't understand what's the big deal. Really - it's meat. Why would you be ashamed of meat. Sure, there might be the social stigma but other than that, I see nothing wrong with the idea of eating human meat. It's like refusing to ever taste horse or dog meat or whatever.

No, I have a policy against eating things that have been alive for that long.

That, and I couldn't get through it without throwing up. So no.

I would, I don't see any problem other than the "yuck" factor if the person consented to be eaten and died of natural causes. It'd be interesting to see if it really does taste like pork.

I would probably give it a go, if I knew the person was healthy and free of disease (including those weird ones which cannibals sometimes get).

Would not go out of my way to try it, but would not turn it down if offered (legally of course, somehow).

Should I follow my curiosity, or morals?

It's not as if the human was killed against their will... so it isn't all that bad. Might as well tuck in. Does human really taste like chicken? Do different humans taste different?

Oh shit, once I take a bite, I will definitely want to taste more varieties of this species, and viewing your fellow humans as food can have potentially disastrous consequences. On second thought, I'll pass.

No. I don't want to know what human tastes like. I don't think I ever will so it wouldn't be a regret later.

It may be apocryphal, but I did once read that Human flesh used to be sold in markets in China and other parts of Asia where it was called "Long Pork" due to the taste. It was apparently cheaper than actual pig meat.

Personality, I'd have no problem with it as long as it is disease free, and meets food standards. Meat is meat.

I've heard that human flesh i actually the tastiest meat. then again the people who ate it were either batshit crazy or starving to death.

I wouldn't really care what i had to eat just as long as i had a good piece.

I'm not really that curious.
I imagine it'd taste pretty bad. Mostly because I have this idea that carnivore meat doesn't taste any good.

No thanks, I'm not really curious at all. I already knew that it tastes a lot like pork anyway, so I don't really have anything to be curious about in the first place.
