If Yahtzee disappeared, even though my view of his videos haven't been very strong as of late, I would miss getting a nice laugh and analysis of games I'm glad I might not be buying/renting because of his criticism.

He has a very good sense of humor, and if nothing else, he will say something that will promote a fit of laughter out of me, which makes my day, usually.

I do watch Jimquisition (haven't here recently, if only because the subjects he's touched upon haven't been pertinent to my interests), and Moviebob is one I revisit quite a bit (I just rewatched a bunch of his Escape to the movies review last night, for no reason than 'just because').

And Critical Miss is a good laugh too, and the Forums, which I visit a bit more lately.

Short answer: Yes.
Long Answer: Yessssssss.....

Zero Punctuation, while still entertaining, has really lost the spark with me. I used to get home on Wednesday and the first thing that would load on my computer would be ZP. Now...a few hours might go by and I'll get to it. Once in a while I completely forget and don't watch it until the next day. The "Take good games and rip into these few nit-picky things because nice doesn't sell" is just getting a little stale for me.
You 'n me both... :|

I started watching ZP in about 2008, couldn't be arsed with an account until two years ago, and these days, I watch the ZP releases a few hours after they're released, have a laugh, occasionally watch old episodes, but generally spend most of my time in chat.

So if it went, I'd be a little disappointed, but the folks from a number of usergroups would have me coming back here no problems. *shrug* I hope the vids (especially 'Hour of Love') from the Expo remain up in perpetuity though!

Yeah, I'd keep coming. I enjoy several other series here, and I (for the most part) love the forums, and I got my wonderful boyfriend here.

Plus, where else could I send messages to said boyfriend telling him that he's poop? :p

I'm assuming huge poll bias here though, because if you have an account and browse/use the forums then you're already acting in the way of a 'dedicated' user. Threads alone are a type of engagement the Escapist has on every person posting here beyond ZP. The people who don't have accounts and maybe even don't really know much of the site except as a ZP vehicle are way more likely to leave

I only knew of The Escapist because of ZP so that's what got me started. All these years later, I'm here primarily for the forums and news. Sure, I still watch ZP but it's not like I come to this site several times a day because of it.

Yes, if only for Critical Intel, despite The Escapist's best efforts to make it fucking invisible anywhere except the homepage banner.

I mean, there's a site's code/design being old, and then there's giving priority to a column that has not updated since June of 2011 over one that actively updates and is infinitely better. Multiple times.

Critical Miss, Escape to the Movies, Extra Punctuation (though that might not count in this hypothetical scenario), Intermission and Miracle of Sound are all also big draws for me.

ZP did draw me to this site over a year ago and I will still remain here for stuff like the Jimquisition and these forums.

Though ZP brought me here, I'm more here for the jimquisition and the movie defense force. Also, I try to keep up with Critical Miss.

Of course I'd keep coming back.

ZP is just one of many things I like about here, but it's not a deal breaker for me if it suddenly goes away. I'm mainly here to hangout in user groups and some of the forums anyways, and there is other content here that I enjoy.

I came to the escapist for ZP to begin with, but I like most of the other shows enough to keep me coming back even if ZP did end. The the forums here are pretty decent.

I think by now Zero Punctuation is more of a regular rather than the main attraction. He might've been an 800 hundred pound gorilla the first 2 or 3 years, but those days are gone. Right now I don't think there's any one contributor who's the big draw. Maybe Jim because he's the newer guy, but I couldn't say.

If ZP stopped it would suck and it'd be weird not to have that mental note each wednesday, but I'm mainly here for the forums.

Zero Punctuation hasn't been my main reason for visiting since early 2009.

It'd be a shame to see it go, certainly, but it wouldn't affect my decision to be here in any shape or form. I spend most of my time on the forums, and tend to look at the content whenever I notice it is up, rather than waiting for it.

It'd be sad to see him go, but I'd stick around

I really like Yahtzee, he's the reason i even joined the Escapist, but I still like Movie bob somewhat, and Jim, and i havee found new joy in the Podcasts (God Susan, why are you so much fun to listen to?).
So i would stay.

ZP takes up 5 minutes out of the hours I spend per week here.

It's funny when I watch it but I would still be here if it was gone.

I visit the forums a few times everyday, so no, I wouldn't leave. While I was drawn to the Escapist by ZP and used to watch it every Thursday (comes out around 2 AM, Australian EST), now I don't have it in my mental schedule and sometimes don't watch it for a couple of days after it gets put up on the site.

I can't see him going on too much longer actually... he must be getting bored with it.

Yahtzee's legacy is sound, and he's responsible for a hell of a lot. Hopefully his writing career and other investments play out nicely for him. Me? I love his work, and the work that spun off from what he started, games related or not. I'd stay
