Yep. I've been coming to The Escapist for the forums for years. I might have originally jumped in because of Zero Punctuation, but it's the forums that keep me here. Not to mention the fact that there are plenty of other features aside from Zero Punctuation that I enjoy, like Jimqusition, Escape to the Movies, Feed Dump, Movie Defense Force, The Big Picture, Critical Miss and Miracle of Sound and that's even without mentioning stuff like the articles and reviews that go up on here.

Very much so. Honestly, I find the game reviews and the ZP mock reviews as one of the weaker parts of the escapists. At times they keep on track, giving critical insight to what the game features. Other times however, the review turns into something a fanboy wrote up on their way to a convention. Usually passing over glaring issues because this game features characters and or a story the reviewer really likes. To me at least, it makes the review less than credible and keeps me away from the reviews section unless it is a game I'm seriously interested in or at least looking for every scrap of info I can find.

I'm pretty much just here for ZP at this point. I certainly don't come for The Escapist's 'quality gaming journalism', or to be patronised watching the Jimquisition, or to listen to Moviebob's gajllionth rant on perceived misogyny.

There's not a lot of reason to visit if youre only doing it for ZP,s ince you only have to wait a week and you get it on youtube. And I doubt there's large groups that talk about what yahtzee said this week in the same way that people do about say, new family guys or walking dead episodes.

I would still visit just cuse i like to keep up on the news specifically the ones involving space.

I came for the ZP... but I stay for the Doomsday Arcade marathon I run every three months. Besides, if he left, we'd just have to find another snarky British guy living in Australia to do mock reviews for entertainment. Maybe the next one could use light blue swatches and stick figures.

Or be Strong Bad. That's good too...

I like these forums. Reading them more than posting in them, but still. they're usually very entertaining.

Honestly, Yahtzee was the hook for me, if it wasn't for the offer of watching fresh episodes of Zero Punctuation, I wouldn't be assed to sign up and subscribe to Escapist, but in all honesty, I'd still stay because Jim Sterling's here, Thank God for Jim.

I can't say much for the rest, bar how SmoshGames shouldn't be here due to how retarded it's last top 5 was and how its credibility is reduced to nothing for me, MovieBob is great except he usually ends up overrating something that's not really good at all(GI Joe, anyone?), It's true he gets it 90% of the time, and that's great, but unlike Half in the Bag, wherein Jay and Mike are there to act as a check on each other if either one of them ends up recommending something that might be bad(Just like how Mike recommended Ghost Rider 2 at one point).

So yeah, tl;dr Jim Sterling's still here, so I'd still stay.

Definitely. I watch Bob's videos religiously, and I even find time to read his weekly articles. Zero Punctuation is a funny show, but I think the Escapist has a lot to offer besides Yahtzee's lovable sarcasm and wit.

Though ZP was what drew me to this place at the start, it has become more than that. This forum has become my shelter in the horrifyling storm known as the internet. It is where I come to rest and recoup my strength before heading out intot he merciless wastes of Youtube, the dark forests of Deviantart, and the precarious peaks of Blogger.

So yeah, I'd stay.

As loads of people have said, ZP drew me in, but it's not the only thing that's worth looking at/keeping me around.

Still very entertained by it though, so I'd miss it if it were gone.

Althrough I, like many many people, was lured here by ZP initially, I mainly spend my time here talking to people in chat. Even if that wasn't so, I would still stay here for the atmosphere and the people.

This is my main news website for gaming, culture, etc.

I won't be going anywhere anytime soon, no matter what changes.

I mostly come here for the forum these days. Some weeks I even miss new ZP being released for a couple of days before catching up. So while I enjoy it a lot, I'm pretty sure I'd keep coming here without it.

Instead of revolutionary new approach to criticism, ZP is now merely an institution.

Important. But no longer growing the community by orders of magnitude.

Doesn't matter. A revolution can only be a revolution until the revolt results in reinstatement of revolutionaries as the revolting new status quo.

I'd keep coming because this site is the only one whose videos seem to load during lunch at my work (most of the rest get blocked off).

However, I don't generally agree with the direction of the reviews in this site (almost always perfect reviews for AAA titles and generally mediocre reviews for indies and mid-tier titles)... it just speaks to the preference of the reviewers, which is OK, but makes it so the review portion of this site (other than ZP) doesn't particularly appeal to me. I still come by every now and then for Jim's rants, movie Bob, and some news every now and then, but I mostly go to RPS now.

While I enjoy Zero punctuation and I like to watch his new video's every week, if he decides to quit then I would still have the forums, I would miss it, but it wouldn't be enough to turn me away from the site.
