I love The Good the Bad and the Ugly, oh, I think Once Upon a Time in the West is a better film but The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is more fun. My opinion is that Tuco is the heart and soul of the film, Blondie and Angel Eyes are shallow enigmas but Tuco is fully fleshed out with a back story. I have friends who like Blondie just because he's Clint Eastwood and I'm sure Angel Eyes has fans. So who is your favorite character? Why are they your favorite?

EDIT: I added the Half Soldier to the Poll, sorry I missed him the first time.

This is by far my favorite movie, and I have to go with Father Pablo. I love the exchange between him and Tuco.

Thank you, good sir. I saw the thread title and I got giddy. This is my favourite movie and am always happy to talk about it.

On topic, I had to go with Blondie. I concede the point that Tuco was the 'heart and soul' and he was certainly the most fleshed out character. But I like that even Blondie himself is an anti-hero. Sure he does some good things like when he comforted that soldier before he died and when he honoured his and Tuco's business arrangement even at the very end but, he was far from a saint. Blondie still strung up Tuco for his amusement hell, the only way anyone was going to get the treasure was if Blondie survived to tell the secret.

Angel Eyes was alright but Van Cleef played Col Mortimer better in For a Few Dollars More probably because he actually had some motivation that wasn't based solely on greed.

Screw the one armed guy, wasn't there a dude with no legs moving around on a plank? He gets my vote.

Blondie gets second because Clint is so badass.

Well done, I had forgotten the "Half soldier".

Have you seen The Good, The Bad, and the Weird? It's a fun Korean interpretation set in Manchuria in the 30's.

I saw the second half of it on TV, I think I really needed to have been watching from the beginning.

I honestly expected more results from this Poll so I changed the title to make it a little more accessible.

I also agree with this, I preferred him in Few Dollars More (I like FDM more the TG,TB,TU) than I did in The good, the bad and the ugly. However its still Van Cleef and thus still takes the prize.
