[HEADING=3]Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Storm 2[/HEADING]
I'm going to get that one. I loved the Ultimate Ninja series for the PS2. I just want mah RPGs, first
Question: Are Juugo, Hidan, and Sasori any good? Those are my favorite characters and I would have to main them.
I shall be honest because I beat the Game itself already, and will state my opinion so I hope no one takes offense to this otherwise of course:

Juugo - He's the funnest to play as, because he is wild and you can do a lot of charges, yet he has a very sick awakening (it's in game).
Hidan - He actually sucks to be honest, everyone has an advantage over you especially when you use your normal skill because you can't stop until you finish it.
Sasori - He's pretty OP. Not only can you remain safe as your puppet can go out and fight for you againt your foe, Sasori has a grab that is the quickest out of any other character.
Rise of a ninja on 360 was soooo much more fun.
Not just a fighting game, action adventure, you complete quests and run around with Naruto's awesome powers. So much fun, even IF the story's not quite acucrate.

Well, of those four, the only ones I have played are Disgaea 3 and Valkyria Chronicles. Both were good, but I liked Valkyria Chronicles far more, so you should get that.

I recommend Demon's Souls. It doesn't feel very JRPG-ish, but it's fun. Hell, I played it from yesterday afternoon to 5:11 this morning nonstop.
I am hesitant about it. I am disabled and have trouble with games that have real time combat (partially why I love turn-based RPGs) and I've heard it is straight up brutal. I love Atlus but I'm not sure I can play it that well, thus my indecision.
You might want to hold off Demon Soul for a little while than. It's Atlus' attempt at a WRPG. It's a good game but it's brutal and if you're used to JRPGs, you may not get far before you decide to leave it for later.
Valkyria Chronicals I can totally get behind. It's probably one of the most original retail release games to come out this gen. It's got cool gameplay (turn based but with a hint of real time) that's a mix of RPG, TBS, and TPS that goes on for a while. It's a game you can get into for a while so that would probably be your best bet.

If you get a chance, also get Fallout 3. It's a western rpg but I think you would get a much bigger kick out of it than Demon Souls. It has a more turn based option, and can keep you busy for months and months. Probably the best value single player game for this gen.

Played it. Essentially, if it isn't an exclusive, then I've played it/looked at it, lol. I found New Vegas to be better. It actually had a good story with options to branch out. I'm forced to play on Easy, but WRPGs are still enjoyable.

Cool. I would've liked it if it had worked: the ps3 version was horrendous. I don't know if I would've liked it more. Yes the story had a better/wider structure but I liked the Capital Wateland more.
You would probably also like Costume Quest. It's a downloadable game you won't need much money for. It was on sale for $7 a week or two ago.

The 360 copy I had ran like a charm. Except for one thing: the loading times. It had to load all of the time and took 15-45 seconds to load. New Vegas was the worst. I was doing quests for the Kings and going between areas took more time than the actual missions. I don't have LIVE so I can't play DLC unless it is released on disc format. Can't wait to have online access for free.

Yea, I hear the patches for the 360 helped. Stick with that one for Bethesda games: they treat the ps3 as an afterthought.
That was very annoying: the "cool" safehouse was through at least 3 load screens no matter where you fast traveled to.
I'm pretty sure you can buy dlc & games off xbla without buying a live subscription. Or did they change that?

I maybe making a mass generalisation but I think Demon's Souls is just too hard a game to start your life with a PS3 with, it may make you hate the thing. Valkyria Chronicles all the way in my opinion, it'll be cheap and also it is really good in a lot of ways.

Huh, I'll have get on my friend about feeding me false information. Still, the PSN being completely free will be a welcome change. And yeah, the 360 gets special treatment. Almost all of their exclusives release for the PC later and I guess Microsoft can be persuasive. Of course, that means the PS3 gets all of the awesome JRPG exclusives. To be fair, when I got my 360 the PS3 didn't have a library to speak of.

Man, I think you would really be doing yourself a favor by at least trying Demon's Souls (rent it if you have to but it's dirt cheap now). I have found this game to be very rewarding, it is punishing but when you finally beat he creature you've been slaughtered by countless times you feel awesome about it! Don't listen to the naysayers, this game didn't get GOTY for nothing!

God of War 3 is the most epic game I have ever played.

Littlebigplanet 1 and 2 are fantastic for so many reasons.

One of us is being fed false info then.
I wouldn't even call that special treatment; that's what's supposed to happen. Based on my experience with Fallout New Vegas on the ps3, they should've made the whole game exclusive and not bothered with a ps3 version. That's how bad it was.
Yea, the ps3 didn't have much of a library for a while and while I think most of the console exclusives tend to be really overrated, the two for the ps3 that were actually underrated were Valkyria Chronicles and Warhawk.

I can safely say I haven't really liked any of the Japanese-made RPG's in this current generation, which is weird because they were my favourite genre of the last generation.

Oddly, my two favourite series on my PS3 have been Assassin's Creed (if you want you can probably skip the first one-- it's mediocre compared to 2) and God of War.

Another choice for JRPG is White Knight Chronicles, but only get that if you're prepared for slow gameplay.

Just don't get anything by Hideo Kojima. He's getting Alzheimer's and can't remember how to make games interactive, as opposed to a chain of cutscense :p

You should get Mass effect 2, unless you have a 360 then id buybit on that instead.
