Poll: In Your opinion what is the best COD Game

always enjoyed 3, story and multi-player, although i remember the multi-player being kinda buggy, but i remember enjoying it so that's all it counts. Also Huxley was an awesome character...just sayin XD

The first Modern Warfare was immense. It had an amazing story and it was nice that it was not set in WW2. Also, the multiplayer was epic.

Modern Warfare 2.
For me, they just got increasingly better and better.
The faults of MW2 are not enough for me to dislike it.

You seem to have left out what probably is the best Cod in many many peoples opinions that I know of. United Offensive. I have never ever heard anyone rant or rave about the other console expansion games.

OT: In my opinion it is either CoD2 or CoD4. CoD4 I thought added brilliant customisation to it with the Builds(they aren't really classes so I call them builds). It eliminated the need for everyone to go Americans or something like for a weapon dispite the fact that they still do. CoD2 I just loved the mods for it. From the Admiral mod to playing on the Death Star. To me they were the best. CoD and UO were also brilliant but those two for me are the best by far.

I've played 2 the most, (not MW2, just 2).
But I think 4 was the best, it was faster as the levels flowed much smoother than WaW.

MW2 doesn't exist.

Definitely 2. It is by far the best WWII game I've ever played and is the only COD game I still have fond memories of (I no longer like COD since MW2, like many others)

CoD1, awesome multiplayer, played it quit a lot over LAN with my mates, still remember most of the maps . CoD4:MW was pretty good to, haven't played any CoD (except 3 for half an hour or so) so cant judge those.

COD 2 was the best and will remain so it seems. COD 4 gets a very close runners up position.

Well, I've been playing the series since CoD 2, and I reckon the best single player experience has to be CoD4:MW, so that's where my vote went. As far as multiplayer experience goes, I'm gonna stick my balls on the anvil my neck on the line and say Modern Warfare 2. And before you all start throwing stones remember that 'multiplayer experience' also includes MW2's Spec Ops mode, not just the on-line deathmatches.

My favourite would have to be CoD4. For me the single player was very very fun and the multiplayer was smooth with good level design. WaW was good with the zombies but I didn't like the story or multiplayer as much and MW2 just made me seeth with rage when ever I had to play it.

I haven't really played any of the othher ones except for a bit of multiplayer on CoD3 but I can't really pass judgement on them.

COD3. I loved playing it on the original Xbox Live. For some reason, I think it's better than all the others.

I second this. CoD2 was just pretty damn badass. There were definately a couple of ***** moments, but it was a great play. MW was pretty beast as well

COD4 had a good well written story, while MW2 had more plot-holes than Swiss Cheese at a firing range but was decent enough.

call of duty 2, hands down, especially the russian campaign where you have to hold off the storming nazis, the speech your general gives you along with the orchestral music there makes me feel some kind of heroic
