I know this isn't about which one you like better, but heck I'm going to explain it anyways.

I think Indy is better, because Indy has always been a really well done consintly awesome character (yes even in Crystal Skull). While Mr. Bond has gone through way to many retreads and turn arounds throughout his career.

Though there is no doubt Connery is the best.

So a history professor with a whip vs a man with a life time's worth of combat experience, weapon experience, hardened to pain and extremes of weather not to mention that he knows a veritable shit tonne of different un-armed combat styles? Yeah. I'd put my money on Bond.

If it was a straight up fight against Ford and Connery, I'd still put money on Connery. The guy knocked out a table's worth of people before Michael Caine could even stand up. In Caine's own words: "You wouldn't mess with Sean unless you were very silly."

Plus Connery is a KNIGHT. Beat that Ford!

*Michael Caine's 2nd Autobiography, "The Elephant to Hollywood," page 189. That's right. Sourced.*

James Bond. Although knowing him he will try to seduce Indiana since he always does that with the people who try to kill him.....................................OH GOD! WHAT HAVE I DONE!?!
I think you just Rule 34'd something that the internet hadn't quite gotten to yet. Well done? lol
No No No NO, Make it stop. I don't want to think these thoughts.
Bond: No, let daddy take that whip from you and show you how to use it "properly..." *winks

Sorry, I had to.

But in all honesty, Bond.

I read about that too, on Cracked.com I think it was. To be honest I shouldn't have used the film version of Bond, I should have gone with him in the novels. Though I doubt many people will have read many, if any, so I went a little lowbrow, for want of a word.
The bond from the books was way more baddass than film bond (however I always read the books with my best Connery impression; its just not right otherwise). I mean book bond killed a man who had a gun...with his shoe...A FETHING SHOE...okay it was steel toed... Book bond also used less gadgets and more judo (and became a proper ninja when he went to Japan and got ammensia (unlike in film...ninjas with guns my arse). Book bond also started out quite racist and gradually mellowed out as he became aware that many black people do not like to be called a "n*gger".

Bond could take Indy out any day. But Indy's dad would a close one indeed.

James Bond has a car that has rocket launchers, machine guns, can turn invisible, and can be quite painful to deal with in a shoot-out. 007 also has death pens, is one of the 10 most elite operatives in the world, trained in the lethal arts, is extremely proficient with his pistol and other weapons, and he's James Bond.

Indiana Jones has a pistol and a piece of rope. He does potentially have a small aircraft, and maybe he could fly the propeller into 007's car. Outside of that, it doesn't look to good for him.

It's a good theory, but it's not true. In Licence to Kill they mention Bond having a wife at some time beforehand, which happened all the way back in On Her Majesty's Secret Service with a different Bond actor. I kind of wish it were true, though.
You can reconcile that with assuming there's just been 4 bonds with 6 actors (plastic surgery? there is precedent). Connery as the first, Lazenby-Moore-Dalton as the second, Brosnan as the third and Craig as the fourth.
Hm. I hadn't thought of that. I can't offer any direct problems with it, so it sounds right. I always did sort of think that Brosnan's tenure was more like an alternate reality to the rest of the series because of how different they seemed.

If its the whip versus the gun, Bond would win. But if it were Gun's free, or a motorcycle fight, Indy would be victorious.

Being British my money is on Bond.

Even though I enjoyed the Indy films more (except Crystal Skull).

A cheap and cheerful question for you all: Indiana Jones has a fight with James Bond, who would win? If you're wondering which Bond actor, go with Connery I guess, everyone seems to like him the best.
Well, considering that the first Bond movie was shot in 1963 and it took place in "present times" (judging by the vehicles, clothes etc.), Indy would be older than in "Crystal Skull" by then so... Bond.

Laezenby also states "This never happened to the other fellow" at one point. Sure it's just a meta-gag, but it helps the theory.
