Hi everyone, I recently came into some money, and was wondering whether I should get an IPad or a 3DS. So, once again, I decided to turn to you guys.

I'd say neither ... wait for a new system or something. if you NEED a tab pc (and they are handy) go with another company and get the same thing for less. none of the 'but macs are better' mumbo jumbo holds up when it comes to tab pc's ... they're all the same sans price.

as for portable gaming, check into the vita and if you're anti sony, i'd say just keep the cash and feel the burn in your pocket. :D

Neither the ipad is good but i really still dont see the point, and the 3ds i would wait for a few more major titles to come out. But really its up to you hope this helps though. :)

3DS is only 170, Ipad is 500. Easy to determine what to get with simple math, but why would you want an Ipad? I have yet to find one person who has one who actually uses it for anything but fucking around.

Depends what you're looking for.

If you travel at all, iPad's fantastic. It's not as bulky as a laptop or even a netbook, it does games, it has a far better browser, you can also stick music and videos on it. Its virtual keyboard is even big and well laid out enough that you can touch type on it. I have to do quite a few long train journeys each year, the iPad's a godsend for them.

While the 3DS has promise, I regret getting one so soon. It's still yet to develop a decent game library. Over time, it'll get better games AND it'll be cheaper.

My final answer would be either the iPad or neither, for now, depending on what you want - if you travel or have other periods of time of doing nothing, the iPad will be good. If you're mostly active, there's less need for it. Leave the 3DS for perhaps half a year. That way you can also compare it to the PS Vita in its state at that time.

Neither, save your money and buy something that is not relatively useless, especially if u have a normal DS, srsly both the Ipad and 3DS are just pointless money-sinks, u should wait for the next console generation or just buy a proper gaming PC if you don't have 1 or hell something not tech-related even :), just my 2 cents

It's hard for me to say neither harder. First off, it's really hard to give any sort of advice if you don't give any info, please put more effort into your OP in the future.

Still, I'll try to give you some generic advice. The iPad is ridiculously overpriced and compromised, there are several better tablets if that's your thing. As for the 3DS, it's completely worthless right now, it has no software and will soon require an ugly peripheral. Better to wait for the new model or get a Vita.

I would never buy a Mac computer, but I have an iPad and I think it is the best out there right now simply for the App Store. The Droid Market and whatever else dont have nearly the selection or support the App Store does which, to me, was enough of a reason to get an iPad.

Uhh..

With a 3DS you get a cool system without many games...

And when I see someone with an iPad I have to say "Congrats! You just bought a big iPhone! Without the phone part!"...
