I want a goddamned iPhone. The only Apple product I have is an iPod right now.

How about an option for those of us who supported Apple before they became trendy? When the company was days away from bankruptcy?

I'm not sure if I'm in the minority when it comes to music or if everyone else just dumps shitloads of generic music on it, starts it off, sets it to shuffle and then just keeps it in their pocket. I can't use it like that. If its in my pocket, I can't skip to the next song, go back a song or even memorize button sequences so I can skip to another playlist and even a particular song in a playlist without having to look at the screen.
I have a Sony MP3 player (can't remember the name or model number) that has an original iPod like button on the ront that lets you move songs back and forward. I can manipulate this in my pocket without having to take it out my pocket every few fucking minutes like I do with the iPhone.
Also, the accessories are fucking expensive. I have a leather case with a built-in battery since the iPhones battery is so utterly dire, and it set me back about 50 quid and it turns my previousl sleek iPhone into a brick. I also bought a headphone jack gadget that lets you skip forward and backward when listening to songs and it was like 20 quid or possibly more.

It isn't Apples fault, my phone just out classes the iPod in number of functions. My phone outmoded the iPod. That's all.WrongSprite said:

Your poll's biased; there's no option to select if you genuinely like their products. I'm typing this up on a Macbook, have an iPhone 3G in my pocket, and went and pre-ordered my iPhone 4 today. Before the iPhone I had an iPod touch and a crappy phone, and before the touch was a Shuffle. Yeah, I think Apple products are good, although the Shuffle was a bit infuriating with the whole not-having-a-screen thing.
We have a natural affinity to shiny objects. It makes me feel cool when I'm the proud owner of a slick, shiny, silver piece of technology. And I think it's a perfectly valid reason for getting something and the fact that it's somewhat useful is an added bonus.
