What do you think the Maiden trademark song is? I'm gunna go for Run To The Hills, I don't particularly have a reason I've just always thought that it is

Edit: If you think other put the song in your comment

Running Free or Sanctuary?

Those two were pretty big encore/crowd pleasing songs when I've seen them live.

Fear of the dark! Fear of dark! I have a constant fear that something is always near!

Hell yeah! Up the Irons!

Yeah, I have that whole song in my head, it really is the best one they made!

I would say The Trooper for the riff or Run to the Hills for the great chorus, those are the first songs I heard from them anyway.

I'd say The Number of the Beast, it's just what I think of when somebody says Iron Maiden.

The best one by far though is Fear of the Dark. Not a huge fan of them, but that song is friggin' amazing.

Phantom of the Opera also I feel is another one that people know, mainly due to the Lucozade advert in the 80's.

Run to the Hills is probably their most well known song along with The Number of the Beast.

The trooper has less of an appeal to a broader range of listeners than run to the hills.

I would say when they play Hallowed Be Thy Name, especially as the closing song (as they did way back in '08 in toronto) was definitely the highlight of the set list.

So many epics it's hard to choose... Personally I'd say Fear of the Dark, but in general I'd say it's a tie between Aces High, 2 Minutes to Midnight and Fear of the Dark... Then again they're kind of a legendary band in so many ways that choosing ONE song as their symbol will always be unfair...

...Best Iron Maiden "trademark" is, and will always be, Eddie the Head.
