Poll: Iron Maiden's trademark song?

Fear of the Dark probably. A lot of people seem to know The Trooper and Run to the Hills though.

For me it's The Trooper, but that's mostly because the song featured in the game Carmageddon II. Still, I love that song and I think it's one of his greatest.

Really! You certainly missed out on a great fun factor of that game mate. The music was quite enticing to run over a couple of more pedestrians while cruising 'round the angry beaver.

I love that game to bits. Truth be told, I never noticed that The Trooper features in it. It's the Fear Factory tracks that actually got me into metal in the first place. I played that game, love the 3 Fear Factory tracks (vocals removed) get some Fear Factory CDs for my birthday, and here I am now. Was into pop and dance before I got those.

EDIT:Just realised you typed Carmageddon 2, god I'm so blind! Great game, but I still prefer the first.

I have to say that the Number of the Beast is their trademark song, it was with the album 'Number of the Beast' that they started to hit it big after all.

They hit it big cause that was their first real album. And anyway, even within that, Hallowed is still arguably the more loved.

Makes more sense for The Number of the Beast to be their trademark song as it is the 'main' title on that album. Besides, the Number of the Beast susms up all the things that are great about Iron Maiden. Sure, all the other songs listed are really good, but I think that if you want to look at the song that is most representitive of all of Iron Maiden then you should be looking at The Number of the Beast.

I wouldn't like to say that they had a trademark song to be honest because there are so many great tunes, even beyond those listed, that are synonymous with the metal legends. In my experience though I have to say that The Trooper is probably the most loved among the people I know so I'd say that.

The song that most people probably know them for are Run to the Hills and Number of the Beast. The song i recognize them for the most is The Rime of the Ancient Mariner because it really shows some of the best they have in my opinion.
