I saw both movies recently, and to be honest, I preferred Kick-Ass, if only because I knew what to expect from Iron Man 2, but Kick-Ass was more of a surprise to me. I REALLLY liked BOTH of them a lot, so don't think I didn't like Iron Man 2, but what do y'all think?

PLEASE don't vote unless you've seen both!

Definitely Kick-Ass, for the same reasons in the OP. That, and Kick-Ass had me in stitches and goosebumps every five minutes.

That scene where Nick Cage goes ape-shit and 'Kicks Ass' for about 2 minutes is just...awesome.

Ironman 2 was a better film all-around, but both were enjoyable. Vote has to go to IM2 though.

Tough choice but I'd probably have to say Kick-Ass. Iron Man 2 was well done and have some really amazing scenes but Kick Ass made me laugh more and I could relate to it alot more.

Kick Ass was more enjoyable because, well... that's all it was. It was an explosive, balls out action/comedy flick that wouldn't stop until you were entertained, and if you weren't, it would kick you in the balls.

Iron Man 2 was good too, and I liked the whole 'Iron Man's Greatest Enemy is...'

Tony Stark!

I did not, however, appreciate the movies throbbing 'AVENGERS AVENGERS AVENGERS' hammer it kept hitting me in the face with.

I haven't seen either, but I'll be seeing Iron Man 2 this weekend. I wanted to see Kick-Ass more, but never got a chance to.

I preferred Iron Man 2 because it was a lot more fun. It was guys flying around in armoured suits beating each other up wihle obviously having a lot of fun doing it.

I had 2 problems with Kick Ass. The 1st was I had a lot of difficulty finding the funny. For some reason I don't find a lot of situational comedy like whats in Kick Ass funny, but more painful which took a lot of the enjoyment out of it. The second reason I didn't like it was because about 3/4 of the way through it decided to go a bit too fantastical (he got the girl, Hit Girl dodging bullets and the damn jet pack) which didn't really go with the begining of the film.

Argghh I can't bring myself to pick; the two were completely different in tone and both were awesome in my opinion.

Iron Man came out the same time as the Dark Knight, a much better superhero movie. Now Iron Man 2 has gone ahead and shot itself in the foot as well.

Kick-Ass is a fucking brilliant film. It's very funny, very fast paced and had some absolute genius action sequences (the section with the night goggles stand out to me, especially as an FPS fan). Hit-Girl is easily the most original action star in year, and it's nice to see Nicholas Cage doing something good again.

Iron Man 2 was...ok. There wasn't really a real threat for most of the film (I suppose the villain was Tony Stark himself but whatever) meaning it just kind of plodded along from one scene to another throwing in random action scenes when ever it remembered. It had some funny moments, but honestly the best I can say about is it points towards a movie that could potentially be awesome (but most probably shit) the Avengers.

I haven't seen either movie but from the sounds of reviews kick-ass has a lot to say and will test your limits and perceptions. iron man 2 is just classic summer flick fun with explosions, Superheros, and cliche weak plots. your milage may vary.

Iron Man 2.
I found it to be the better movie all around, and it had Samuel L. Jackson.
Which instantly makes it awesome.
