Actually El Shaddai literally translates from Hebrew as God (El - god) of my breasts (Shaddai - my breasts). It is an aspect of the Hebrew/Christian god as a god of fertility - usually called upon by women in the Bible (wouldn't make much sense to be said by a man). Similar to El Tsvaot - God of armies (this one is usually used by men).Lt. Vinciti said:is one of the Judaic names of God. El Shaddai is conventionally translated as God Almighty.Pipotchi said:Never heard of it, I thought El Shaddai was what Jewish people called God? I shall google it and return post haste.

While the translation of El as "god" is straightforward, the literal meaning of Shaddai is the subject of debate.
