For those who haven't been (im)patiently awaiting this game, The Last Guardian is the soon-to-be (hopefully) spiritual sequel to both Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, from Sony's team Ico. Things looked grim when it was announced that Ueda-san had left the team, and hope was rekindled when we learned that he was going to finish the game as an independent contractor of sorts. Also, the HD collection of Ico/SotC came with some videos where they talked about the game, some surface level plans that they had for it (you control a little boy who works with a colossus-sized bird creature to explore the world), and some videos for it.
However, I'm really getting the impression that it might not beat the launch of the PS4. That wouldn't be a problem per se (God of War 2 came out like 1 1/2 years after the PS3 did), but in this instance things look troubling. Though I had no reason to expect it, I really thought we would finally hear something at Sony's little PS4 announcement. I bring this up because I really don't hear anyone talking about this game, as if it's assumed dead vaporware.
Is anyone else wondering what the hell's going on as much as I am? Also, feel free to turn this into a discussion on all things team Ico, if for nothing else than to get discussion about this game happening somewhere.
