Poll: Is anyone here NOT a gamer?

Ok, I know this sounds like an EXTREMELY silly question since this IS a GAMING site. But, I've been noticing that there's a lot of content on the site that is appealing to nerds of all kinds, and not just gamers, and I was wondering if very many people have signed up for this site after being attracted by the general appeal to nerds, rather than their love of games.

Gamers are generally nerds. Nerds mostly like anime, tabletop games, conventions, etc. That's basically it.

Well as of late I've begun to wonder if being a gamer is really a condition to be desired, but yes I still consider myself one.

For some reason I have really been loosing interest in gaming since my sophomore year of college. I still play games but it doesn't give the same satisfaction as it did since my first console till team fortress classic (weird spot to end my satisfaction, huh?)

I still enjoy keeping up with the news of gaming and what the companies and indie people are doing, but playing games just seems to be getting in the way of what I want to do. I will always have a beefy PC and 1 or 2 current gen consoles, but I don't think I'll be putting in the hours like I used to put in.

I'm quite obviously a gamer, but I don't really get on the gaming forums that much. As smug as this community is sometimes, good conversations are held here on the on-topic forums, and that's what I mainly come here for.

But I enjoy all of the site's content, and I'm a big gamer.

Well, whatever you consider to be a gamer.
I basically meant are you fairly interested in games, but it can mean whatever you want.

Im really growing out of video games all together and really will only be getting infamous 2 this year. Sports and school have taken a majority of my life and are about to fully take it over after this summer so this is really my final moments for my consoles until next summer. Yet I still come back for Yahtzee and Unskippable and because this is a awesome community. To answer your question. No. I am no longer a gamer really.

Nerd is a derogatory term, kind of used by a lot of people the same way they use "******".

Gamer doesn't have this connotation, thankfully, so I don't mind calling myself a gamer, but I do mind calling myself a "Nerd"

I poked my nose into the controversial opinions thread and never in my life have I been more ashamed to be a gamer. Just the number of people on this site that were condoning certain paraphilias just... I thought this place was so cool... Maybe I'm too naive, but I'd hoped there were none of that kind here.

OT: it's funny how a few years ago so few people played games, but nowadays it's harder to find someone who's not played a game.
