Although you would be hard pressed to find an Escapist who had acted on it, so you really wouldn't need to worry about actual offenders on this site, only thought criminals :p
Illegal pornography has a large market. I don't doubt for a second they've crawled into this part of the net and set up nest.

And I really can't talk about it anymore. I'll either be sick or end up fetching a weapon.

Your reason for wanting eugenics is perhaps (in my opinion) right enough, but your method of execution is the problem. I'd prefer to educate and help the problem, rather than murder or remove basic human rights from otherwise innocent people.

Two wrongs don't make a right, etc.

Still play alot but haven't bought anything new for months. New purchases will probally be ME3 and Skyrim, I have lost all interest in Call of Duty 267 and similar multiplayer games.

I highly doubt many active posters are involved in it though, generally the people who are are degenerate enough that they would avoid This site as a whole. You will not easily ever find someone who acted on said deviances here, so don't worry all that much about it.

I don't think I mentioned murder in my idea... Just prevention. There are not the resources to educate 5 children per family here. In order to educate the population, the uneducated must avoid having many children, and yes the people are otherwise innocent, but they KNOW that they cannot feed their children or educate them, but they wish to have daughters to sell for labola, children to help them in old age, et cetera, they don't care how much suffering they cause for the children, many of which don't even survive, they want their legacy and the perks they can get with many children.

I agree, education is the best solution, but only after you stop it from becoming an uphill battle.

And I understand that everyone has a topic that will really shake them, but being unable to talk about it without feeling... well, read your second sentence, may not be healthy.

Not as much, really. I play a lot of old games on emulators, but I really only buy new games 2-3 times a year. The last new game I bought was Fable III, not counting the Neverwinter Nights 2 expansion I bought new at Big Lots for $1. I did buy the Fallout 3 Game of the Year PC set with all the expansions, but that's not really all that new. And I have a shit ton of problems with it crashing my PC.

For some reason I have really been loosing interest in gaming since my sophomore year of college. I still play games but it doesn't give the same satisfaction as it did since my first console till team fortress classic (weird spot to end my satisfaction, huh?)

I still enjoy keeping up with the news of gaming and what the companies and indie people are doing, but playing games just seems to be getting in the way of what I want to do. I will always have a beefy PC and 1 or 2 current gen consoles, but I don't think I'll be putting in the hours like I used to put in.
im the same as you, like weirdly the same

I think it has to do with being a kid, games were like the equivalent to fairy tales for me. They opened up the imagination and brought me to different worlds. But as I grow older, that child-like imagination seems to be running out for me so I don't view games the same way as I did in the past.

I am not but when I joined the Escapist I was actually on a long break from gaming (Between PS2 and PS3), mainly because I wanted to get my A-levels over with before I got one.

The first change was a mandatory, people where offended at my blantant floppin' of the cox and mods politely told me that it needed changed.

Don't take this as an insult because it is not suppose to be. But as you mature you stop worrying about being a gamer, a metal head, a jock or whatever.

That being said, I am a dude that is interested in games, but I don't want to be recognized as gamer.

I am more here and read/watch more about games than I actually play them, but I still call myself a gamer. In some ways I feel more like a gamer by getting in touch with the industry.

Nerd is a derogatory term, kind of used by a lot of people the same way they use "******".

Gamer doesn't have this connotation, thankfully, so I don't mind calling myself a gamer, but I do mind calling myself a "Nerd"
Actually, the definition of nerd is one who enjoys intellectual pursuits. The average person just uses it to insult someone.
Maybe, but it's really the average person's usage that really matters. The definition of the word "*****" is a female dog, but...
Touché, sir. I can't argue against that logic.

I've always loved games, but my circle of friends doesn't so my hobby has kinda been an undercover one. I might not appear to be the kind of guy who can't wait for Skyrim, or who has cleared MGS 1-4 countless times. I'm not ashamed of it but I've never really brought it up either. In a way I'm maybe a bit affraid that I might lose face in the eyes of my friends if I would start to advertise my gaming hobby. I have a lot of other hobbies too (Breakdancing, soccer, indie movies, djing) and wish that there would be more people who see games as an emerging art form instead of just violent trash ruining our youngsters.

Yeah you do know there is a second definition for the term '*****' in the dictionary now
also I don't mind being called a nerd while meant as an insult I take as they are saying "smart person who enjoys things I don't enjoy"
