Brain Power is sexy to a point.
Once you evolve into a species with a giant skull (at least compared to humans, who incidentally happen to have giant skulls compared to everything else) to fit all your brains, then yeah, brain power is sexy.
What's more sexy is similar interests.
I don't care if my girlfriend is even half as smart as I am.. as long as I can tell her about some stupid video game and have her be interested, then I'm happy.

all of those things take a lot more then intelligence, they take a drive to be a better person then you are, and that's something that smart people and dumb people have in equal quantities.
Hence the powers of statistics - statistically she's less likely to do any of those things but there will always be outliers and those which don't conform to the bell curve.Altorin said:

depends how they user it. A partner who knows what they are talking about is definately a plus, but if they constantly just rip on other people for being wrong then it's entirely the opposite.

Anyway... yes I find brains attractive... but I prefure people to be on a similar level of intellignece to myself... I am by no means stupid but I have some very very smart friends and I hate being in a conversation where they are talking about sciencey mumbo jumbo and its all so way over my head...

A girl doesn't need to be intelligent to be able to hold a conversation with.. As long as we have similar interests and opinions I don't mind if shes a little slow. =p
Sure, I have limits, if shes an absolutely brainless shallow type person i'm not interested, but there is a lot of middle ground between intelligent and stupid. I don't need her to be a female Einstien, nor even very good at school/college, I would even date a drop-out. The dumb blonde type personality can be really cute. =p
I look for nice, funny, sweet, pretty girls.
I think a lot of people (i'm not pointing any fingers here so don't flame me) think they are somehow better than others because they will only date girls who are very intelligent; and consider people who care more about looks/other things to be very shallow. My question to those people, if there are any here, is: how is it less shallow to be someone who scoffs at the less intelligent girls, than being someone who disregards the less pretty girls? Food for thought...
For me, looks have their place. Personality is more important, yeah, but I have to be attracted to her.

While brain power isn't sexy, sexy and loving are differnt
while brainpower isn't sexy, it's loving and appreciated in a couple
dating someone whos sexy but not loving and vice versa isn't a good idea.

I understand if that doesn't interest you, but it has nothing to do with intelligence. You're going by stereotypes. I know plenty of girly girls like that who arent stupid at all, and also some of the nicest girls I know.

True, actually my best friend is a typical girly girl, but the nicest person I ever met in my life. I also won't call her stupid, far from it, I think she's pretty damned intelligent. However, there is a difference in being intelligent and knowing much stuff. She doesn't know a lot of stuff, nor is she interested in a broad spectrum of topics, but I can clearly see she's really intelligent (how she manages to remember a crapload of phone numbers...I don't know, but she rocks with math anyway). But then again she's 15, so she still has to grow up a lot, that's also why she does a lot of stupid things, it's the age.AverageJoe said:
