It a MANLY Christmas Movie!

Also FYI the 'Die Hards' were actually pre-IRA irish freedom fighters, known to be hard asses.

Of course it is. Nothing says christmas as Bruce Willis jumping from the top of an exploding building with a machine gun.

Die Hard is an anytime movie, just like The Hebrew Hammer. "Christmas Movie" seems to mean movies that are only shown around Christmas, well, to me at least.

Meh, I always watch all of them during Christmas. I have yet to understand why I keep doing it.

Fact - more families of people I know watch Die Hard at Christmas than a form of A Christmas Carol.

I watch both - Die Hard, a Muppet's Christmas Carol and an exchange of small gifts before going to bed are the three traditions in our house.
Die Hard is my Christmas Carol...

How is it a Christmas movie? You all are forgetting the meaning of Christmas. Not to be rantish but its true.

Die Hard is my FAVORITE christmas movie, and yes, it's a christmas movie.

Just because it isn't for little kids doesn't mean it's not a christmas movie

Silent Night Deadly Night is a christmas movie.

Mike and Mike did this last week, the general consensus was no, because it is not in any way about Christmas, just set during it.

my opinion is, if it's got christmas hats and christmas music in it, it's a christmas movie.

Home Alone is a christmas movie too, and that hardly has any real christmas in it either.

A "Christmas Movie" is something that is about the values that Christmas represents, not about stopping terrorists during an office christmas party. Now don't get me wrong, i love Die Hard, it's a great movie, but it just isn't a Christmas movie, those are things like Rudolph, Frosty, or A Christmas Story.

What the hell have reindeer/elves/snowmen got to do with worshipping/fearing the winter/whichever local Pagan deity of your region, hoping for the spring and feeding yourself up for the coldest months ahead?

No film is based around the true meaning of Christmas these days. So I'll take a film set at Christmas, full of good actors and lots of gunfire/explosions over Will Farrell dressed as an elf, or some moron kid with a face you just want to punch, every single year.
