English is my second language, although I rather like to think I'm quite articulate with it. I'm from the Netherlands, so Dutch is my first language. The third language spot is shared by french, german, spanish and italian.

Uhh...first, I guess. My country has 4 official languages, but we only need to learn English as a way to communicate with the other races, and my race's mother tongue. I'm better in English, though.

English is my second language, after Greek and (theoretically) before German.

Between There and There.
Country
The Wide, Brown One.
The bastardised form of English known as Strine is my first language.

I've only ever known linguistic jealousy once... Kid I knew in High School spoke 5 languages by the age of 16 - Czech, German, Polish, Russian and English.

I really want to be fluent in another language. I suppose I'd prefer Japanese at this point so I don't need subs for anime xD

Even though I was born in a country that prides itself on bilingualism, I can only speak the language of the Redcoats and Yankees.

...

English, if vocabulary isn't your strong point.

Spanish is [...] far more complicated than English at least [...]
that's true, since english must be one of the easiest language out there ^^
it's so easy, compared to german (my native... many people i know who speak german as their second say it's a real b***h, and looking at all the germans who cannot speak it properly themselves, i guess it really is), and french, and latin (very orderly - awesome ^^), and from what i've heard italian and spanish too

please don't get me wrong; i like english very very much (as do all germans for some reason yet unknown; thus we have more and more advertisements and products and services with english names/in english... now how stupid is that, not using your country's language??), it's a great language (sounds very nice, polite, even when cursing ^^)!

English is third I believe, I learned Gujrati and Sanskrit first and a little Bemba and Nianja. I also know some Arabic, Persian, and Swahili.

EDIT: cool, 500th post!

Both? I live in Norway, i speak Norwegian most of the time and i understand virtually all of its dialects (we have a huge variety). but i am better at expressing myself in English. My English vocabulary is much larger than my Norwegian vocabulary. I even think in English. I guess English is my first language but Norwegian is my mother tongue?

English is my second language. My first language is Dutch. It's the language they speak in that tiny blip on the edge of Europe. It's also unnecesarilly complicated, in that I actually think English is an easier language to write and speak.

OT: English is my second language, and I know Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian... which is the same actually...

English would technically be my fifth(?) language.
I speak Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, German, English and Spanish.

If we count out Norwegian and Swedish, it would be my third language.
