Nope.
Your porn analogy is flawed.
Unless you have a voyeur fetish, you watch heterosexual porn to fantasise about doing what the men featured are doing to the women. If the man has a flaccid penis, its equivalent to you having a flaccid penis, something generally considered bad when in the presence of hot naked women.

Not to mention people who don't watch porn at all.

Honestly, I can't see the attraction people (man or woman) have for men. Not through refusal to do so, I just can't understand what supposedly makes a man attractive.

Anyone who actually says that isn't just "a little" gay. He is a full on gay man. I honestly don't think anyone would accidentally say that.

The ancient greeks were gay(ish) in sparta it was common practice for men to have sex with the boys they trained as compensation, and it was beleived that this would also harden the spirits of the boys, wich would later become spartan soldiers etc. So if the masters of reason and democracy(not sparta, aristocratic) were Ok with being gay then I don't see why we wouldn't be. Also it kindof strange that americans, who claim to live in a 'free country' are amongst the biggest enemies of same-sex-marriage. I blame religion.

I can tell when men have cute eyes but that doesn't make me a homosexual, does it? :p
Yep, you're gay. At least you know that about yourself, now.

In all seriousness, though, I find it difficult to believe that everyone is slightly homosexual. Like everyone else says, I think everyone has the ability to appreciate the human form, but that doesn't necessarily make them attracted to the same sex.

Personally, I'm not gay, but I would be a little for [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damon_Albarn"]Damon Albarn[/a].

No, I do not believe that everyone is able to be sexually attracted to a specific gender. Even if they might consciously want to.

The story in the OP is invalid as an argument anyway, since the whole "performance factor appreciation" is more about immersion and selfinsertion in the depicted scenario than sexual attraction.

Nope, but everyone is at least a little metrosexual. Everyone has to clean around house eventually, and you can't look not metro (d-double negative!) when cleaning your house.

Also, they call me.... Tater Salad
I really dislike the term metrosexual. It's saying that you can't be masculine if you are a clean person who cares about their looks, keeps a neat home, and isn't a fucking slovenly idiot.

That being said... No. I disagree with the primary topic.

While I do believe that a large portion of heterosexual people are really bisexual with a moderate-to-heavy preference for the opposite sex but have just been conditioned into thinking that there is really only straight or gay... there are actually people who are fully heterosexual, and actually people who are fully homosexual.

I, myself, am what you would call an Omnisexual, AKA Pansexual. [link]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pansexuality[/link]
To put it simply, when it comes to the matter of gender or sex... They're not the first, or second, or third things I look for in a person.

This might not be the most helpful post, but I'm gonna say nothing's impossible (just very very unlikely). This is coming from a bi guy with a stronger (not exclusive) attraction women. Just hope some of that makes sense...

I say no, because homosexuality is feeling about someone of the same gender in a sexual way. Here's the definition for a better understanding of what I mean: http://www.merriam-webster.com/netdict/homosexual?show=0&t=1287988440

This means, in my mind, that you are not a homosexual in any way unless you feel sexual attraction to members of the same sex. Is it possible to feel that without actually participating in homosexual acts? Yes. But it's also easily possible not to. So my opinion is no, not everyone is homosexual. No offense meant to those who are though.

Well, I was going to say that your story sounded made up, but apparently you've already been "outed" on that front, so I'll just say....

That's like asking if you're a little necrophiliac.
...what he/she said. There is no "spectrum" of sexual preference, you're gay, straight, or bi. There's only 2 sexes. Therefore, there are only three possible preference combinations. 1, 2, or both. This is a very simple concept. As for "can bi tend to favor gay or straight"...I don't know. You'd probably have to ask someone who was bi. I'm sure it's possible, but I'm not sure how it's relevant. If you're attracted to both men and women, but you like women a little more (if that's even how it works) that doesn't change the fact that you're still attracted to men and women. In other words, bi is still bi.

People are a little bit sexual. Hetero/Homo/Bi/Les/Gay/Trans are just fetishes depending on a number of other situations.

And it's doubtful you'll ever know what you are either.

There's only 2 sexes.
That's one of God's first tricks he pulled on us. "Let's make 7 sexes and tell them there's only 2."

I've heard the theory before.

I disagree with it not only because I'm not even slightly gay (having been raped by a gay when I was six, which thankfully I do not remember even though I've been told about it) but because things don't work the way the theory implies.

Sexual attraction is based on human pheremones and chemicals which react with the brain. It's a process that can be stopped which is why for a male removing the testicles will destroy the sex drive entirely due to the inabillity to transmit or receive the nessicary signals.

Someone who is homosexual is reacting to the chemical signals of their own gender, either instead of the opposite gender, or in addition to them.

There is no "a little bit gay" because you either react to them and become aroused, or you don't. That's just the way it works. There is nothing mystical or special about our sexuality.

With the gay rights movement one of the only reasons why it's ambigious is because in their effort to avoid action, they try and confuse the issue. Gays either argue that it's an inherant condition, ie a way that they are born (as mentioned above), or that it's a lifestyle choice, depending on whom they are argueing with at any given time. Given that neither of these positions really work in the long run for their objectives, there is an increasing sentiment towards saying that it's neither a medical condition OR a choice (which means it must be magic... ) due to efforts to pin them down.

I'm not going to get into my opinion on homosexuality in general because it would derail the thread, and go nowhere. Besides what I think on the various issues should be well known due to other discussions by now anyway. I'm sure there are some messages still on the forums somewhere for those who might be curious, even if it's not relevent to this discussion.

In short, it's an all or nothing equasion, either your attracted to your own gender or not. I don't even think this counts as opinion nowadays, because a lot of this has been scientifically proven, and is the basis for why castration works to begin with.

The absolute last thing I want to see in the entire universe is another guy's junk. That is not hyperbole - I would happily stare at festering septic wounds writhing with maggots every damn day for the rest of my natural life if doing that meant I would never have to even so much as glimpse that loathsome male appendage inadvertently; suffice it to say I find 'normal' pornography to be horrifying and not even remotely arousing thanks to the presence of naked dudes.

It is also not hyperbole when I say that even contemplating physical intimacy with a guy makes me want to vomit and I just involuntarily shuddered from the brief mental image that I inadvertently conjured simply by typing that, gah!

So no, I do not think everyone is homosexual, not even a little bit.

No, I don't think everyone is (a little bit) bi-sexual.

The 'little bit' part makes it redundant and hard to qualify.

Alright, before the trolls and flamers tear this down let me make my point.
I'm not saying everyone is homesexual to the point of homosexual intercourse or making jokes/acting in that manner.
The point I'm making is that (almost) everyone is at least slightly SLIGHTLY homosexual.

I replied to a post with this quote and decided to make my own thread based on it.
Ron White: "It's not whether or not you are gay, it's about how gay you are."
Personally, I believe this to be true, because I had a very similar argument to the one he portrays in his comedy act.

My friend is very homophobic. He doesn't like homosexuality, and will freak at any jokes and has been known to yell at homosexuals, telling them to "Straighten Up".

Here's how the with him discussion went down:
He was freaking at me because I told him that I was totally fine with Homosexual Marriage, because I have a number of friends that are homosexual, two of which are engaged.
He says that he'll never support gays.
I say "Dude, we're all a little gay."
He replies "F*** you man. Don't even start that s*** with me."
"You know what, I'll prove it right here."
"Go ahead. Thrill me F*****."
"Do you watch porn?"
"Yeah I watch porn, you know that!"
"Alright. Do you only watch videos with girl on girl going on?"
"Hell no! I watch guys ramming their chicks more than anything!"
"Do you like it when the guy has a tiny, half-flaccid unit?"
"F*** no! Dude's gotta be pounding her with a big rock-solid sha..."
He looks at me with wide eyes, glares, and storms off.

Needless to say, I'm no longer on friendly terms with this guy.

So... Here goes nothing...

What are your thoughts?

***EDIT*** Yes, I know how much it sounds like Ron White, because I was basically quoting him to prove my point to this guy.

***EDIT #2*** Here's the video I drew my argument from. Thanks to the guys that either posted it or said it should be posted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mY711HJK7pg

***EDIT #3*** I PROMISE that this is the last edit. I wanna know if there have been situations like this that did not involve the use of pornography as an argument. Also, is it possible for bi-sexuality to lean more towards homo-or-heterosexuality?

I'm glad this is a post that isn't turning into a shouting match. Good opinions do far. =D
Ummm... I only partly read it (because I'm tired and to be frank it seems rather fragmented) but that seems like a fairly... Silly point (instead of meaner words to be used), how does watching porn with a guy in it make you slightly homosexual? If anything should do that its the fact that I'd happily do something more so for money, but the fact that I watch porn with a guy and a girl?

Truth be told I seldom pay attention to the actual guy in mind, the penis sure. It makes mine seem larger when I'm imagining myself in his place, but I'm quite certain homosexuals would care for... "the whole package" rather than just the penis, much like guys don't look at a girl and see a vagina.

Come to think of it my points come out as rather crude, sorry about that. I hope no one takes offense, its not intended.

PS: I voted "Go f*** yourself!", but only because of all of these porn references.
