I think Amnestic covered all the bases. I think it's mainly because they see Glenn Beck or Shaun Hannity & think the whole network is like that. I don't watch much on FNC, but even Bob Beckel, a Democrat who defends almost everything Dems & Barrack do, said Fox is a fair news organization. It's only the few commentary shows that are biased to the right.

Oh, and about the Daily Show, it's a comedy show 1st & foremost. If taking someone out of context makes it funnier, he'll do that. I don't know how often he does that. It could be he hardly ever does, but he has done it. I could be wrong, but I don't think you're supposed to take a comedy show seriously.

No, Fox is easily the best news station compared when compared to CNN and such. However, this is quite irrelevant as it's far inferior to Drudge Report. Then again, I listen to Glenn instead of watch it on T.V. so eh.

Fox News is quite different from the Fox Network. Just look at The Simpsons and Family Guy. They make fun of Fox News all the time.

What if Fox made Fox News just as a conservative satire joke?
Wow, that's would be the greatest prank in the history of forever! No, really, that would be awesome!

fox news made a major story out of a lepercon sighting in mobile alabama. nbc also did it.
nbc one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nda_OSWeyn8
i can;t find the fox one. but yeah nbc and fox are really bad, CNN is fairly bad, BBC is probably the best and they are fairly bias to.

Ya, anybody who takes the daily show a hundred percent serious is pretty dense. Especially since Jon has said himself they're just a comedy show.

I watch the Fox channel every once in a while but the news on it are mostly about scares and opinions not news. If i wanted an opinion, I would go to the Escapist Forums and ask.
Which is what i created this thread for but some people like to point out how uninformed i am when i ask for opinions. Im quite baffled by some peoples stupidity when i ask for an opinion they point out that i am uninformed.

From what I can tell from Fox News Network is that it sounds like most of the correspondents started their career on the internet. It's just ill-informed opinions catered to people with the same point of view. It's not really news anymore it's entertainment all cable news networks are just that.

the problem with fox news is that it tries to pass itself off as news, its not news, it best its opinion stuff, compaired to any other "news" channel its really really skewed

News companies are bias, as much as they try to say they aren't, they are run by people who are bias and the way they present things reflects that. Fox just so happens to be conservatively bias while most other news sources tend to be more liberally bias. That's why they get bashed so much.

I think all news is "biased" towards some agenda, I think the reason Fox News gets a lot of flack for it is because their opinion commentary is more vocal and uses harsher words in their opinions. In my opinion I think half the reason this is now an issue is because of the current administration's attacks on the network because Fox News usually reports news more conservative and Republicans want to hear/would pay attention too. That being said I don't think any news is "not biased" toward anything. I've seen some news reports on other news networks not on Fox News and vice versa. If it's just plain news shouldn't it be on all news channels?

But it seems a lot of people hate fox with a passion and i have to ask Why.
Because they disagree with Fox's viewpoints
Because they're of the opinion that Fox would prefer to make up News rather than research it properly
Glenn Beck
Because they can legally lie [http://ceasespin.org/ceasespin_blog/ceasespin_blogger_files/fox_news_gets_okay_to_misinform_public.html].

Just a few possibilities

Fox is using the right of freedom of speech and all the people who seem to hate fox wouldn't want to be censored would they.
Disagreeing or even hating someone is not the same as asking for them to be censored.
This was a good comment that I could 100% agree with. Especially Glenn Beck, I really wish that man would fall off the face of the earth. If you take this comment and then tag onto it the numerous scare tactics they use on topics that truly don't need them, you would have everything I find wrong about Fox News.

Ok i made a forum a while back about an nbc nightly new report where obama had a basketball game in the white hous that some people considered sexist and he had to explain himself.
You made an entire forum about this? More likely you made a thread. Different things.

crimsonshrouds said:
I left out the fact that nbc had run the report and quite a few people said things about fox.
So...you didn't even cite your source for the story? That's just plain lazy.

crimsonshrouds said:
Now i don't watch the news hardly except what i pay attention to on the escapist, yahoo, and at work.
Well that's just as lazy as not citing your source. Who doesn't read/watch the news?

I watched fox once and found it to be quite funny but i also found myself agreeing a little bit with what they were saying. (this will get me a lot of flack i just know it)
Thus, clearly, you know exactly what Fox is like due to your indepth and extensive research into the station.

Oh wait no, you watched it once. Nevermind.
This was just being a smartass. It would seem that you wanted the OP to notice a rather valid opinion in your post while also systematically calling him an idiot. For some reason, I'd say that didn't work.

My question here is: Were any of the smartass comments necessary? Why make them? Did you tare someone else down just cause you could? Because that would make you one sad individual.

FOX news programs are run and protected by idiots.
I will prove this statement by this [http://thinkprogress.org/2007/04/27/fox-parody/]
...quotes from the site...
"On Tuesday, Fox News morning show ?Fox & Friends? aired at least eight segments on a purported ?news? story that was actually a parody article written by a publication similar to The Onion.
Fox?s careless blunder made news in the town and ?launched an immediate avalanche of angry phone calls and ugly e-mails to the school system.?

...the youtube video of the screw up by Fox & Friends [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jheNdN2ifIw]....
... a pdf file [http://reporter.blogs.com/thresq/files/fox_order080603.pdf#page=13] where the a Judge tosses the school superintendent's lawsuit against Fox News because the judge/jury felt that FOX news didnot report this out of malice.

Not at all. I did it because it makes me smile, as I said. Doing something because you can is terribly wasteful. Doing something because you enjoy it on the other hand is the epitome of what I look for in life.

Let me put it into perspective... I am a conservative-leaning libertarian. I hate fox news with all the fiber of my being.

To be fair, the animated shows on fox aren't bad.

Fox News is a news channel whose opinion programming has a horribly conservative bias.

It's kinda expected of them to make one of those comments. They have been known to be bias toward the Conservative way of thinking.
