I pretty much always go to movies by myself. I mean, now and then a family movie or something but watching a movie is generally a personal experience. Unless of course you are going to be joking about the movie and talking to friends the whole time, in which case get the hell out of the theatre and go watch movies at home *fist shake*
I second that, I watched 300 in the cinema and the people sitting right next me didn't shut the fuck up during the movie...

I have done it a few times...but is there anything really worth seeing?

-Also, anyone else suddenly think of the "Forever Alone" meme? hahahaha

I almost never go with anyone, I tend to visit the cinema weekly where possible and always go by myself. I also tend to only ever go to late night showings, because then there's much less chance of having the film ruined by people talking or kids/teenagers kicking my seat and pissing me off. Nothing weird about it, in my opinion.

I do it occasionally. My friends don't have jobs or never have money, so I would just go cuz a movie I want to see is out. My friends have commented on how it's weird but I'm getting to see a movie that they'll have to miss, so they can't really say anything

The most shocking part is that Inception is still in theaters. Thanks to the Oscars, I guess.

And it's not weird. It'd be awkward seeing Black Swan with other people, imo.
Imagine how I felt seeing the film with my older brother during the
sex scene and masturbation scene.

Yes, it seems weird to me.
I never go alone to the cinema.

I don't have a good explanation, but it does seem weird to me.

I go all the time; it isn't really weird, but it makes me a little sad sometimes that I have no one to share the experience with (all my friends live in other states).

If its a theater that's ALREADY noisy I would say it is. But if its an art house theater where the material is going to be respected I would say no.

I won't even allow my first viewing of a film to be tainted by anyone else's opinion. I generally watch everything by myself the first time and then expose people who I think would enjoy the film to it.

Nope and I have done it plenty of times but I do prefer to go to the cinema with my friend. I can get why some people may find it werid (it sort of some what depressing if you go on your own instead having a friend watching it with you so you got something to talk about afterward).

I always want to go by myself but I keep thinking it's somehow a little sad. So a little weird.

I find it a little weird, but I understand why people do it. To me going to the cinema is an occasion, you spend a lot of money to see a shiny new film on a big screen. Going alone would be somewhat similar to going on holiday alone and not talking to anyone the entire time.

But, if it were more affordable and accessible then I wouldn't mind going alone, and to many people that's already the case :3

I have no choice.
Although I've never been to one alone...
It's a riddle :p

Nothing inherently wrong with it, but I'd personally feel a bit awkward if I went by myself. That's just me genrally, though, I always feel awkward going out anywhere alone. Plus, stuff feels a bit hollow if you don't have someone to share the experience with.

No, in fact, I dislike watching movies as social events. There's absolutely nothing social about watching a movie, and if I'm going to do it, I'd rather do it in a dark room by myself.
