So my family and I were eating, and incest became, albiet briefly, the subject. So that got me thinking: is incest wrong if it's consensual?

The issue, as far as I'm concerned, is to do with the high risk to potential children. Adults can fuck whoever they like as far as I care, as long as they both consent.

If both parties are willing to accept any possible consequences (including a child) for their actions than I really can't say anything against it. That being said, there is still a massive stigma attached to it, and I still think it's weird, but whatever.

Again, I'm all for two consenting adults to be able to do whatever they please on their own time. But that doesn't make it any less disgusting.

I call it morally wrong due to the problems that may arise. I.E. impregnating your sister with a child.
Your choices after that:
1. Abortion, something not universally excepted as good. And known to psychologically screw-up the women who get them.
2. Give the inbred, possible disfigured or defected baby up for adoption.
3. Try to raise an inbred baby, which has never worked outside of royalty.

As long as no children come from it, I see no problem. Incest is illegal because it leads to inbreeding, which leads directly to forcing a child to live life with disabilities of all sorts.

However, if a child is born from such a union, it's NOT just the problem of the two parents. It's the problem of the child, and it's the problem of a society whose responsibility is to keep its members safe and give them the opportunity to prosper.

Why? You say "it's still incest" like it means something. Why is it wrong, and in particular what acts are wrong?

What about a gay incestuous couple? Or a couple of relatively the same age? Twins?

Don't know why you would want to but if both parties consented and I don't know them or have any connection to them or will hear about it on the news then go right ahead. Basically its fine as long as I don't hear about it or I will be creeped out beyond any help.

Also your family sounds alot like my family, they also talk about the most random stuff ever.
